.. and for the uninitiated, bloghouse (AKA “bloghaus”) is an umbrella term for a wide-spanning cultural movement that was simultaneously a party scene, a fashion trend and an all-encompassing lifestyle centered on a “very certain kind of dance music”.

Do you remember these? Gotta Dance Dirty, The Fresh Beat, Stereogum, HypeMachine?

Hell yeah we do, I think we all turned into online music hunters, laptop musicians & bloggers respectively craving the next Girl Talk mash-up or Mstkrft remix we could get our hands on, let’s also salute the pioneers, such as Ed Banger Records & the mighty one, A-Trak to name a coupla leading the packs.

After all, we really do owe it all to blog house it arguably predicted the way we currently use the internet to spread culture especially musical output versus our current relationship with selfies or streaming (each to their own). 

…but was it cool? shit yeah, it broke rules and started a movement, an experiment which is why we can celebrate the nostalgia and give one big round of applause to our guy Geordie, this is one for the books.

Since his debut earlier this year, DJ/producer Absoluccio’s craving for eccentric melodies and distorted basslines is disrupting the still-emerging house scene in Austin, Texas. 

Enlightened by his pilgrimage to the club spheres of Gold Coast, Australia, Absoluccio embraces an imaginative approach to the energy-inducing rhythms of the global bass and tech house “syndrome”. He likens his resonant and vibratory sound to the visionaries of these sub-genres, including Chris Lake, Walker & Royce, Claude VonStroke, and Ciszak, among many others. 

In a post-pandemic era, Absoluccio is taking to stages around Texas, never failing to shake the dance floor. As his jockeying artistry continues to evolve, Absoluccio is leading the way with his unforgettable live performances and, most recently, his studio mix series “Crave the Rave”.
