For this improvisation I’ve used a new: VSL Studio Concert D 1887. I think this piano has a very cinematic sound. Also it has a bit “imperfect” sound which I really like. Honestly I’m a big fan of an “imperfect” and old school sound of a pianos.

My 3rd experience of playing of an improvisation on the new: VSL Studio Concert D 1887. I’ve decided to play in a very ambient piano sound with a long reverb. And I’ve used an external reverb - LX480 from Relab. I really enjoyed the result. It sounds not too clear and still a bit “imperfect”. And I think this kind of a sound is a bit close to a Harold Budd’s piano in his iconic collaborative work with Brian Eno. And I really enjoy this a bit old school sound even in the long and deep reverb. Well, I think Concert D 1887 is my very favorite piano on this moment because I can play a cinematic, classical and ambient piano, and I like all three. This piano is really versatile for me.

The family of a missing North Mayo woman are marking 25 years of searching for information on her whereabouts.
Sandra Collins, from Fotish, went missing from the home she shared with her aunt in Killala, on Monday, December 4, 2000. Gardaí believe that the 28-year-old was murdered, but her body has never been found. On this landmark anniversary, Gardaí have issued a fresh appeal for information. They are asking anyone who knows anything about Sandra’s disappearance and death to contact Ballina Garda Station on 096 20560, the Garda Confidential Line 1800 666 111 or any Garda station.
Sandra’s four siblings have now spent a quarter of a century searching for her. Her sisters, Bridie and Mary and her brothers David and Patrick spoke to documentary-maker Fiona McGarry about their memories of their beloved Sandra and their hopes that she will be found and laid to rest.
