voxnox Records have steadily been pushing out their releases since our last encounter over a year ago. The latest offering features two originals from label regular Sept based in Poland, once again showing his superb dark and dirty, hypnotic funk on the Direction EP.

Joining the party with remixes are Michal Jablonski in Warsaw and Berliners I/Y who inject a little more energy and drive to proceedings, kicking things up a gear or two on their versions.

For this DT:Premiere we selected the remix of “Script” by I/Y as they add a freaky atmosphere, loaded with a punchy bassline, cool effects and gritty edge. Altogether, this creates an organic, funky, forward-thinking ball of power, that will do plenty of damage with it’s moody makeup.

The legendary Moscow club Propaganda celebrates its 20th Anniversary in April 2017 and launches a brand new record label. The label will cover different styles of intelligent electronic music, focusing on techno in the first year. At the beginning there will be released music by great artists who had performances at Propaganda club in past. More artists will be involved and more excellent music will be released over time.

My label Stockholm LTD turned 15 recently, so I decided it was time for a little celebration. I'm happy and grateful for the past, and I can’t wait to see what will happen next. Here's how it all started: 

Södermalm, Stockholm 1999. The capacity of the store was probably less than 20. The cold and industrial-tinged interior featured ash grey walls, rust-free steel accents, and a magnificently elevated cashier desk. The ceiling was an impressive 3.5 meters with two massive speakers hanging above the cashier. Shelves and bins stocked with vinyl, tapes, and magazines covered the walls. In the storefront, you would find the listening stations with turntables that sit nicely inside their desks. While you listened to the week’s new releases, you’d be treated to a view of the blooming streets of Södermalm as people rushed by. There was a small sign with operating hours in the window which also said “TECHNO / ELECTRO. Welcome to Illegal Stockholm!” 

Illegal Stockholm was founded by Tobias Von Hofsten and myself in late 1998. It became our home, blood, sweat, and tears for a good 4-5 years. I was only 18 years old at the time and still in school when we opened its doors. I couldn’t think of anything cooler or more fun than hanging out, talking and listening to music all day and night. After we closed the shop at night. We would hang in the ‘office’ which was the store’s back room. I forged life life-long friendships and gave birth to the idea of Stockholm LTD. I wanted to show people a slightly different side of our scene. The original idea was to keep the recording artist secret with no names announced on the release, but the idea fell flat as people figured it out the day of our first release. Since then, the concept of the label has changed a few times but the core idea and desire remains the same: releasing timeless electronic music. 

Stockholm LTD has stood the test of time, it’s not that many labels that stay current for that long. This is only possible with the help of all the artists I’ve been working with over the years. To say I am extremely grateful is an understatement! 

With this in mind, let’s celebrate the label’s 15th anniversary with a 5 part release! 15Y contains remixes by some of my favorite artists at the moment. They have all picked and reworked something from my part of the label’s back catalog. The series will stretch out over a set of 5 vinyl singles with a special anniversary sleeve and a beautiful engraving made by graphic designer Håkan Ullberg.

From dark trips to hypnotic raw techno, for the first time on Absolute records you can find Giorgio Gigli, who purposes an endless dark techno trip; Rommek returns after one year with an intense industrial brick; B side starts with the host of the compilation Lunatik who purpose a crispy techno track, later there is OPL with a deep & groovy techno tool; closing track is entrusted to one of the most prolific producers of the moment, the portuguese Nørbak, who offers an incredible journey without borders.

The eighteenth installment by Secret Keywords' digital series brings the signature of Vegim. 
The well-known producer, also the owner of TMM Records, is recognized as one Techno's most influential artist and has released his music on labels such as Hydraulix Records, Decoy, Gynoid Audio, and Monolith Records just to name a few.
For the first time, he presents an EP on the Berlin-based imprint, and he does it in style, carving the fantastic "Cycle EP."
"Elements," the first track,  is characterized by thick ambiance layers, electronic noises, and drums driven by a bland groove.
"Llamarina," with his massive kick and backbeat bassline, is the perfect track to smash the dancefloor. Vapor shakers and sibilant noises are there to make your mind fly.
Notzing's vision of "Llamarina" is something totally different from the original. Ubiquitous subs and middle-high noises with a slower rhythm will bring you in a hypnosis state, where you can not escape, you're in his hands until for the full length of the track.
"Cycle," the track that gives name to the EP, is in pure Vegim style. Here the bassline is totally fat, the synth line never leaves you alone, and Vegim's signature with mind-blowing noises is evident.
Close the EP Gianmarco Silvetti's version of "Cycle." As always, he wants to welcome new artists in the roster with his remixes. With a bully groove and a hard-hitting kick, layered spacy drums, and an electric shaped synth line, he's ready to make sweat next time you'll hear it on a sound system.
In this release, there is something for everyone, be ready to love it!
