Solid Steel (11th April) It's another special show this week, as we celebrate 30 years of Acid with an incredible mix by Posthuman to coincide with their last I Love Acid club night at Corsica Studios, London on Saturday 12th April. This is what they say about the mix;
"We put together this mix (with a little help from fellow I Love Acid residents Mark Archer & Placid) to celebrate 30 years of acid. 
We decided to pick one track per year, since 1984 - the year Roland stopped making the 303. Starting with Chicago House, expanding out into Detroit Techno and the evolutions in the acid sound from the UK & Europe, then into the late 90's Warp/Rephlex territory, right up to the present day."
The mix starts with Chris & Cosey's 1984 classic "Dancing Ghosts" and includes tracks from Phuture, 808 State, UR, Plastikman, AFX and Luke Vibert, who will be playing at the club night, plus their own new track 'Back to Acid'

Awesome mix I acquired at uni, just identified with help from Chris Weir (big up): 'At the last ever Sabresonic in Dec 95, Andrew gave out tapes (hence the caption on the tape “game over”) that were recorded on previous Sabresonic nights'. Game Over Tape 1 is a downtempo selection from Andrew - classic US hip-hop instrumentals, obscure bugged-out beats, crazy samples and general weirdness. I've had a go at a tracklisting below, please leave a comment if you can fill a blank.

Hi all i dont know if this has been posted on here before, as i am new to this, i hope this works.
some of the sound is hissy, but still some serious music, if an fsol fan you will not be disappointed enjoy ppl
this was put on youtube, i just converted into mp3 

whirlytunes,  recorded this onto tape back in 1993. There have been edited chunks of the transmission floating around the internet (I think they were downloadable rom the FSOL website) but these had some parts missing. I've edited together the better quality downloads with my tape copies to recreate the entire original broadcast. As it's edited between tape copies and the released version the quality my vary in places, (the first 40m is from tape so is a bit hissy).

The Essential Mix is a weekly radio show on BBC Radio 1 currently broadcast between 0:00 - 2:00 AM UK time on Saturday morning. Originally broadcast on 30 October 1993, the Essential Mix features contemporary DJs and music producers of electronic dance music. The show has been presented since its inception by Pete Tong and features an uninterrupted two-hour mix from a different artist each week, overlaid with occasional continuity announcements delivered by Tong. With a broadcast run in excess of 25 years, the Essential Mix is one of the longest-running programmes in the current BBC Radio 1 schedule, and is one of very few Radio 1 shows which is not broadcast live.
