Usually you can’t put ƘÏÐ ƉΔŦΛ in a specific genre as he is producing several styles of music. But in this case he is showing us his signature sound he developed over the last 15 years. You could describe his music as electro-acoustic compositions as there is no good name for his kind of music. With a combination of acoustic Instruments, electronic beats and soundscapes his signature sound is melancholically melodic but yet unusualy rhythmic. New EP “Silent Revolution” from Adrien d’Elzius (formerly known as hosmOz) shows different facets of real IDM music: while taking the roots from the masters of the genre, with the trademark glitches, clicks and cuts, it has its own unique face with all the subtle melodies and atmospheres – and everything between the lines. As everyone else, artists have to find their place and purpose, and in this increasingly cold and surreal world, invaded by artificial intelligence technologies, the task can be delicate. Cyborgraph is a collision between analog and digital, hardware and software, complex and primitive workflows.

Ralp uses experimental methods to compose patterns and complex sequences, based on graphic logarithms and pseudo random calculations mixed with lots of distortions techniques. It is basically an exploration of how vintage and modern equipment can interact together.

The artwork represents some pseudo random sequences located in the timeline that he implemented to compose some rhythms.

Best tracks were to be released on a compilation but we received so many high quality tracks that we had no other choice but to make two compilations.

The result of this experiment are these two V/A’s entitled Field Emitter (18 tracks) & Antibody (10 tracks).

Hypercube - Neural Overflow (Calqa Remix)

The album “Discrete Objects” was conceived whilst observing geometry in nature and trying to make a connection between it, neuroscience and abstract physics theories. This led to the question; could using a series of ‘discrete objects’ intentionally cause a cognitive change in the listener? 

To test this idea, a number of processes (discrete objects) were used to enhance the recordings. This envolved the subtle usage of neural oscillators (alpha, beta, delta, gamma and theta waves), isochronic tones, binaural beats, harmonic counterpoint and stereo placement. 

The result was a slowly evolving musical body of work in which the listener is gradually coaxed into an altered state, vaguely equivalent to ‘tripping’. 

In order to fully take advantage of this album, playback on decent stereo speakers that are optimally placed, or good headphones are recommended. However, Discrete Objects can still be enjoyed from a purely musical aspect without these recommendations.
