@annikazee returns to Absurd TRAX with her latest folk-inspired EP work after a year apart from her previous release with the imprint.

After returning to Canada, Annika was moved by the local scene, in particular the artists she worked with on this record, Louie Short and Eliza Niemi. She also took inspiration from artists such as Joni Mitchell and Neil Young who evoke the sound of the natural Canadian landscape. 

In her own words, "Nothing is based in reality on this record, they are all fictional scenarios where the listener can take what they want from it. The theme is essentially a longing to return to spaces that are more personal and intimate."
