A los 15 años, cogió su primer instrumento, un bajo, y a los 17 tocaba en un grupo de rock en las fiestas de sus amigos. Le gustaba el punk y lo que los americanos denominaban "la nueva ola", el funk de grupos como Parliament, Cameo o The Time. En 1982, llegó a sus manos una cassette del Chicago Hot Mix, que le introdujo en los sonidos revolucionarios de Farley Jackmaster Funk y de Frankie Knuckles. Sorprendido por esots nuevos sonidos, viajó a Chicago a comprar discos y grabar las radios locales que no podía escuchar en su ciudad natal, Kalamazoo. En Chicago conoció a al productor de house Chip E y le sedujo la idea de intentar hacer su propia música. 
El siguiente paso en la vida de Jay fue al entrar en la Universidad de Michigan State donde conocería a Shake, aka Anthony Shakir, quién actualmente dirije Frictional Records junto a Claude Young. En aquella época Shakir tenía un teclado y Jay una caja de ritmos, ésto fue decisivo para que Jay comenzase a trabajar con Shakir en sus primeros temas. Shakir conoció a Derrick May, a quién le pasó algunos temas de Jay. La positiva respuesta de May a estos temas hizo que Jay se mudase a Detroit para grabar con el sello de Derrick May, Transmat Records, sus primeros singles fueron "Ritual" con el seudónimo de Vice y "Isync" como Fade II Black. Pero Denham estaba bastante disgustado por la poca distribución que obtenía Transmat en aquella época y decidió probar suerte con KMS (el sello de Kevin Saunderson), y con 430 West de los Burden Brothers.

Posteriormente tuvo que volver a Kazamaloo por problemas familiares en 1992, en lo que él describe un periodo de "auto-retiro". Pero allí no se quedó parado ya que comenzó a trabajar con otros músicos y productores locales intentando desarrollar su sonido. A finales de 1994, Jack se arriesgo creando su propio sello Black Nation, que comenzaría con el EP "Birth of a Nation", el cual contiene colaboraciones de amigos de Denham como Fanon Flowers, Tony Ollie, Brett Dance y Chance McDermott. La filosofía del sello era producir sonidos underground que tuviesen ritmo y un toque funky. Con el tiempo Black Nation se ha convertido en uno de los sellos de música underground más importantes de Estados Unidos.

Next at ON-SET in December. It is not quite a UK debut this time, but almost, as the last time this incredible producer hit London it was in the year 2000! We can't believe it's gone so long without having him at London parties, as his music has been integral part of the London scene for quite a while, with releases on most of the major UK Underground Techno labels, like Cluster, Stay Up Forever, Carbon Audio, and now Polymeric. Yes you guessed, we have the huge pleasure of guesting at ON-SET the one and only GANEZ THE TERRIBLE!!!
Some DJ's should be given medals of honour for their impeccable services rendered on the decks and prolific careers. I am not talking your Pete Tongs or Tiesto's, I am talking real hard working, willing to play for the sake of a party and for the sake of giving the people a good time – GANEZ Aka THE TERRIBLE is definitely one of those DJs. His Career spans back to the early 90's where inspired by the likes of Mills, Vath, Cox and Garnier he started DJing in France. He played whenever he could and wherever he could; be it bars, clubs or raves. After 18 years of sticking with it he has managed to add a few other countires to his list of places played; Uk, Scotland, Ireland, Netherland, Switzerland, Germany, Spain, Italy, Czech Republic, Poland, Portugal, Denmark, Sweden, Slovakia, Greece, Morroco, Tunisia, Canada, Korea, Japan, Venezuela, Colombia.
A long list of countries with a plethora of gigs, from clubs to raves to free parties to teknivals to festivals and even radio and fashion shows. Yes he's has pretty much played it all.
But not only is Ganez a renowned DJ who has played more gigs than you've had hot dinners, he's also a sublime producer. Electro, House, Break, Minimal, Acid, Techno and Hard Techno/Schranz he has released it all – with over 300 releases on vinyl and digital format his music is supported by an ever growing number of Dj's and artists.
So medal or not it is clear to see this man is well worth listening to.

Cave Club.
In fünf Jahren als Resident Dj konnte er unter anderem
Grössen, wie Pet Duo, Florian Meindl, Johannes Heil, Sven Wittekind, Boris s. ,Mario Ranieri, Timo Maas, oder Toni Rios supporten.
Atuell arbeitet der gebürtige Salzburger an weiteren Releases
und den "Freak Out!" Parties in seiner neuen Homebase,
dem Club Bergwerk in Neusiedl am See.
