„I’m Elias, also known as Killjoy, a DJ, event organizer, and producer. I’m known for my intense hardcore sets. Since late 2021, I’ve been organizing my own events, (BPM and Kerfew Collective Invites), where I focus on showcasing a wide variety of qualitative and deconstructive sounds.

For this mix, I wanted to present my entire repertoire of deconstructive core sounds through my three years in the hardcore scene. Playing these heavy sounds gives me a deep sense of internal calm. It’s a creative outlet for my frustrations, and it allows me to channel that energy into something positive.

The most important skill for me while mixing is consistency and knowing when and where to use certain sounds or effects is essential. My mixing style has become much calmer recently, mostly influenced by learning how to play vinyl. This has taught me to listen to tracks differently. I still use a lot of chops and quick cuts in my sets, but now I do so more consciously.

EQUALITY stands CENTRAL to the atmosphere I want to create. I try to bring everyone in the venue to the same level and mindset, creating a space where people feel free to express themselves however they want.“
