Absys presents the long-awaited album from the Russian duo of Getz & Nuage “Anywhere Here”. Both producers have been actively involved- as a duo, as well as solo – on drum &amp; bass scene for some time and become known as not only prolific and versatile, but most of all, musically sensitive which gained them quite an acclaim among the deeper and softer d’n’b listeners. This sensitivity turned out to be far from accidental, what has been proven by many well-received releases of this duo. Following up, the guys decided to focus on new material, broader not only in terms of volume, but also of the themes covered. So, what to expect from “Anywhere Here” ?

The most appropriate – and at the same time the shortest – answer would be, simply, d’n’b – no more, no less, without pigeonholing or labeling. Yet, the musical content is quite futuristic and ‘modern’, but it’s still d’n’b. What’s certain is that this content will surely please those who are into minimal sounds (“Insomnia Shadows”, “Is the Way”), experiments (“Anytime”), melodies and soul (“Open Your Heart”), but also those who dig the less (“Gallactica”) and more (“Overcoder”) broken stuff. Add to this some deep and flowing rhythms, like “Morning Coffee”, and you have a recipe for a diverse, but at the same time coherent album, especially in terms of sound and themes.

 Despite the obvious musical diversity, the artists managed to maintain a consistent, distinctive futuristic style of their album, thus creating a perfect musical background for an exciting and simultaneously blissful journey through drum & bass Milky Way. Put on your spacesuit and hop on the board of Absys shuttle. Prepare for launch in 3… 2… 1…

It’s been a while since we last had an all-Polish collaboration as part of a single release, but here we are! And what a collab it is! We’re bringing to you two of our long-time favourites – Mateusz Dudziński aka SNIK and Piotr Kaliński aka Hatti Vatti. The occasion? Well, we don’t want to spoil too much but there some fresh stuff by SNIK on the horizon, and to shake things up a bit, we decided to release Hatti Vatti’s remix of SNIK’s track that will be available as part of something bigger in some time first. The track is called “Absence”, but the title is actually a lie – you’ll find no absence of solid jungle vibes, riveting synth samples, dubby basslines, and classic vocal bits spread across the entire track. Think autonomic blended with modern-day jungle and you’ll get the idea.

And to spice it up even more, the release comes in digital format AND in the form of a limited single-sided vinyl record (300 copies available). But that’s not all there is to come, so watch this space.

It’s high time for ABSDIG002 it’s also time to once more support the fresh and the original. Here’s Queensway – a young and talented producer from Ukraine – and his “The Sixth Race EP”. Probably not many of you have heard of him, but we do hope that the number of those who actually know the guy and his music grows fast and that the EP we present here earns him a well-deserved acclaim – and listen good – it’s a really good listen. To continue, despite the small number of tracks, Queensway still manages to bring to light his diverse producer skills; we’ve got some elements of trip-hop “My kitty song”, there’s also quite a diversification in terms of d’n’b alone – from halfstep “Itzdea” to some more typical and regular – though by no means simple – stuff “Sixth race” and “Within each of us”. The ingredients that hold the EP together are warm and clear basslines, pleasant – yet not at all tacky or cheesy – melodies, as well as some intricate and exciting beats. There’s something going on at each frequency, so there’s no emptiness, boredom, nor monotony – each track is living its own life and has got a unique personality, if one may say so. Still, their common roots are easily audible and its 100% Queensway. To sum up, anyone who enjoys music packed with positive emotions and full of diversity should definitely give a listen to what we’re talking about right here. From Absys to you.

We are proud to present to you our next d’n’b-themed vinyl release, which comes with two absolutely fantastic deep-bassed and crisp-beated rollers. In the case of this record, we can speak of a small Polish invasion, as both tracks have been written and produced by two Polish supertalents – @mortem1, who has been making big waves in the d’n’b industry for some time already, and @harland – an established Warsaw-based event promoter and DJ, and a now-upcoming producer, teaming up with Mortem on the flipside. Starting off with Mortem’s “Proximity”, you’ll surely appreciate his trademark to-the-point drumwork and clear basslines, adorned with intriguing vocal inserts and growling synths. “The Same”, with its quick-paced hi-hats, riveting synthetic melody, and spacious bassline, is surely more dancefloor-oriented, but still fits the deeper side of d’n’b perfectly, making this record as a whole a very welcome addition to the Absys family.

After a brief while of ‘studio silence’, Hatti Vatti returns to Absys Records and joins forces with Es.tereo, the outcome of which is a brilliant EP called “Maps” – yet another vinyl addition to the label’s already impressive catalogue. So, what to expect inside? Quality over quantity, as Synkro, Doc Scott or Presha Samurai would put it. Each of the three tracks included in the EP is a definition of what both of these super producers feel best at – the deeper side of +/- 170 BPM electronic music. You can say that it’s a contemporary face of the more gentle form of half-tempo drum & bass, but you can also say that, simply speaking, it’s a healthy portion of good electronic music with soul.  “Kolours” will enchant you with the warmth of its bassline and the richness of the background elements, “Forgotten Scores” will captivate you with the spacious sound of the percussion layer and the variety of bits and pieces surrounding it, and the more minimalistic, mysterious, and a bit more broken-beated “Maps” proves that content is much more telling than form. To put it in a nutshell, ABSLTD005 is Hatti Vatti and Es.tereo in their top shape.

Switching from the analogue to the digital, we’re back with a follow-up to “Ghost Notes” – Radicall’s latest album. We’re talking about a digital-only four-track remix EP. In case you were wondering what you get when you combine a super talent with even more super talents, this EP is your answer. Radicall lends his signature blend of atmospheric backgrounds, fat basslines, and rolling and crisp beats to serve as an input material to be reshaped by the likes of LM1, Handra, Future Engineers, and Silence Groove; each of them a master of their own trade, and each of them with a different take on the main theme. LM1 turns “Quantum” into a steady-flowing Offworld-ish atmospheric roller, Handra transform “Silent Voices” into a smooth, no-frills dancefloor-esque stepper, Future Engineers offer a techmospheric hard-stepping rendition of “Superior Dark”, and Silence Groove closes the EP by adding a fantastic atmo-jungle twist to “Femme Fatale”. Call it futurestep. Call it deepstep. Call it autonomic. Call it whatever you wish, but one thing is for sure – Hidden Element hailing straight from Kiev, Ukraine fail to make their music disappoint. With a fresh take on electronic sounds ranging from breathtaking beatless layers to +/- 170 BPM heavy hitters, these two have been making waves in the industry for some time already, releasing on 22:22, Alphacut, Med School, Pinecone Moonshine and Translation – to name a few. But it is Absys Records that is the home for their full-length album entitled “Together”. The release is a collection of 13 amazing pieces of work, each hitting a slightly different tone, but making a wonderfully coherent whole.
 
An entity that is enjoyed best when all of its components are played together, as the title suggests. The album focuses in majority on a rather home-listening experience, with tracks like “Aura” or “The Night” setting the pace for a pleasant evening chill and boosting the laid-back mood even furth er with “Quite Place” or “Without You” - both infused with lovely vocals – that can serve well as modern-day lullabies. But there are als o more lively accents (“Long Way Home”, “Who Knows”), traces of live instr umentation (“The Next Day”), or ambient (“Bridge”). All in all, you get a fantastic cross-section of contemporary electronic music, a masterfully composed package of nothing but pure listening pleasure.

Our digital saga continues, following with some fresh sounds delivered to you by the gifted producer due of Invadhertz from Italy. Their new EP entitled “Night Tales” is surely a thing not to be slept on, despite its name. The 4-track compilation focuses on the softer, more liquid side of drum & bass, treating your ears with warm basslines and smooth percussion programming, with tracks like the sweet-vibed “Alone”, the mellow, rolling “Late Night Tales”, or the vocal-infused, broken-beated and deep-bassed “Let Me Fall” ready to take you on an absolutely pleasant sonic ride. Here it is! Some brand-new wax for your listening pleasure! Indeed, we’ve combined all this into a single 12” featuring the likes of SATL & Electrosoul System and Invadhertz. The release is all about good mood and chilled vibes, and virtually anything you can tag with the ‘liquid’ label (if you really need to). But categories aside, our new twelve incher comes with a superb collab between SATL & Electrosoul System on one side, and with a solid track by the upcoming collective of Invadhertz on the flipside. The former, entitled “Satless”, is a warm, vocal-infused gentle roller that seems to be best enjoyed in the sunny days to come, while the latter, named “Lily”, offers a nice combination of a bit rougher percussion section and booming bassline enriched with even more of vocal inserts. Our digital catalogue turns 18! Yay! And the eighteenth release comes from one of our regulars – a man who’s managed to escape pigeonholing while being able to maintain and push a very distinct sound and develop his music production skills to a great extent in the recent 10 years spent in the studio. A man whose music is often referred to as – simply speaking – proper drum and bass. And we’re talking about Poland’s Krzysztof Goliński aka Radicall, who delivers an EP entitled “Without a Word”. The 4-track compilation is yet another illustration of his faithfulness to the roots of the genre, but also showcases his further progress as a producer. You just know it’s Radicall when you listen to “Without a Word” with its regular beat pattern, clear, fruity bassline, and vocal-infused background. “Glass Heart”, featuring Lting, stuns the listener with its dynamic percussion programming, while “No One” balances gracefully on the verge of ‘atmo’ and ‘deep’. As you probably know by now, we’re keen on promoting both bigger and smaller names alike. And our latest digital release, 19th in the catalogue (time flies, doesn’t it?), is themed with some new blood. The recent addition to our digital portfolio comes from a young producer duo from Ukraine – Pluton & Skyer. They have been making music for some time now (releasing, among others, on Cymbalism Recordings, Hospital Records, Influenza Media, Viper Recordings, Kos.Mos.Music), and familiar with their talent, we’re honoured to have them release their newest EP entitled “Lead Me On” via our label. Time flies, doesn’t it? It sure does when you suddenly wake up to celebrate your 10th vinyl release as a small label, which is the case with us. But as we’re all about quality over quantity, our latest 12” offering comes with a superb collage of fresh music by the one and only Radicall. Having made his mark as one of the most consistent producers, known for his trademark combination of strong, dynamic drum programming and soft and booming basslines, Radicall keeps on delivering top-quality music with each next release. And this 12” single is no exception to the said rule. The playful, happy-go-lucky “Touch” is a bit of a nod to the old-school/rave/early jungle / footwork/you-name-it style given its complex drum pattern and an array of acid-style synthetic samples and tinges of vocal here and there, but sticking to modern-day standards nonetheless. The flipside comes with “Build Me Up” remixed by Bungle, who surely knows how to make good things just as good as they are, but yet a bit different. And here we have the Brazilian powerhouse reshaping Radicall’s work to make it a bit lighter and upbeat, but still retaining some elements of rawness mixed perfectly with traces of nostalgia. An excellent job, breathing a new life into the original piece – a darker-shaded straight-to-the-point roller, which you can get as a digital bonus added to the release. So here it is – the tenth vinyl item in our catalog, featuring names you simply can’t go wrong with. What better way to celebrate the occasion?

And we’re opening the second 10 with something really big – a hell of a track by Handra and Mystic State, accompanied by a superb remix by Fre4knc on the flipside. “Side Effects” – as that’s the title of the track in question – is all about that bass (hehe). That booming bassline, lifting the finely - programmed, soft beats up and down, adding some additional depth to the mysterious synthetic growling creeping up on the listener in the background. The single offers also yet another shade of the main course. Fre4knc dissects the original bits and pieces and puts them together in a new fashion, creating a dynamic roller driven by a no-nonsense continuous bassline, spicing things up with some heavy breakbeat choppage here and there. All in all, we’re treating you to a healthy portion of low frequencies, well-rounded, tasty beats, and a range of diverse additives that cause no harmful side effects (yup, pun intended)

Here we are with our 12th vinyl release. We’re really proud of our back catalogue, and even prouder to be able to add more to it. And what better way to expand our portfolio than by inviting yet another exciting artist to join our 12” club. And this artist is Ricky Force – a man who’s seen it all in the more breakbeat-oriented face of drum & bass, pushing his trademark intricate percussion programming since 1999, releasing quality music on labels such as Reinforced, Repertoire, Omni Music, Pinecone Moonshine, DSCI4 or 117 and now finding home with us. Without further ado, here’s Ricky Force and his latest single – a pair of not your usual 170-BPM masterpieces leaning heavier towards roots vibes, jungle, halfstep, and dub (Ricky’s from Dublin, so it makes total sense). “ Ecstasy ” starts with a looped vocal bit that leads the listener on towards a thick bush overgrown with full-bodied kicks, sharp, frantic breaks, and a bassline composed of massively booming bits that are bound to keep you on your toes, especially if you have the chance to enjoy it on some proper sound-system. “ Firehouse Dub ” is, in turn, a solid half-stepper strongly rooted in jungle revivalism. It marches slowly and steadily, unfolding some interesting stories on the way – a series of thickly-arranged broken beats, a pack of blares, some vocal bits here and there… Put together, they create an amazing mixture of classic sounds organized up to modern-day standards with surgical precision only Ricky Force is capable of. A true feast for all those into the less polished and more true-school shades of drum & bass.

We’re here with our 22nd digital release! And this time we’re serving you a highly-diversified three-course meal, arranged in a way to suit virtually every taste. And the meal is an EP consisting of three remixes cooked up by no one else than Andrey Sirotkin aka I Wannabe. This Kiev-based musician has been making big waves for a while now, so it’s no wonder to see him expand his catalog of releases by including some nice alternate touches to some well-known and well-liked tracks by other artists.

The EP opens with a reinterpretation of Derrick & Tonika’s “Slow Heaven”, now an action-packed deep-subbed roller bound to sweep the dance-floors across the entire globe. 

Stage two is Radicall’s “Without A Word”, becoming here more of a deep-end roller, with all the ‘fatter and fuller’ parts highlighted to offer a more immersive impression of the original.

The last stop is Sunchase’s “Why We Are Here”, receiving a treatment turning it into one hell of a killer! With the rhythmic section rearranged and the bass-line modified and boosted, the track’s changed nature shows its more deadly, militant side. Just wait for the second drop! And this wraps up the entire EP, letting the old shine in a new, refreshing light.

After all, how can you go wrong with Harland, who has shown to be not only a seasoned DJ but also a talented producer, and Mark System, who has been around for long enough to leave you absolutely certain that he’s able to always deliver the goods. 

The release is actually a kind of extended single because the vinyl comes with three tracks, and the digital bonus includes two additional tracks. But first things first. 

Side A opens with “Leo” – named after Harland’s recently born son (whose sampled voice you can hear right at the beginning of the track – followed by some sampled toys later on as well); a pleasantly progressing, summer-vibed roller with an emphasis on the low end. 

A2 is “Simon Lake” – another deep, warmly ‘purring’ roller, but offering a more late-afternoon mood, perfect for a twilight cruise through the city. 

Side B is all about Mark System’s remix of “Moon”, which is a balladic, slightly nostalgic quicker-paced liquid tune, rich with melody, vocal bits, piano samples, and feel-good vibes. 

The digital ‘extension pack’ offers Mark System’s another take on “Moon” – in the form of a beatless, chilled ambient track with a strong film soundtrack feel to it.
 
Finally, there’s Harland’s “Moon” in its original nature – another dynamic, laid back vocal-laden roller, with a soft bassline and a range of instrumental samples making up for a beautiful melody. A very personal release by a very promising producer, and – at the same time – an excellent bundle of quality sounds, especially for those who like to keep it classy and mellow.
