My first album release in almost 2 years, this project has been brewing for quite some time. This is the first time I am releasing a full album using exclusively beats from one producer. All instrumentals we're produced by my good friend Sal Astuto. He sent me a large pack of probably around 70 different beats and out of those came the songs you can listen to now.

This album explores many concepts such as spirituality, channeling, higher consciousness, relationships, mental health, plant medicine, tribe and community, philosophy on life, and so much more. It is up to you to find the meaning of each song as it applies or doesn't apply to you and your life.

The word “Austerity” is used here in the context of yoga, translating from the word Tapas. Tapas is one of the 5 niyamas, part of the eight limbs of yoga of Patanjali. If one is to succeed in the path of yoga, or in any great endeavor, there must be a fiery passion self-discipline and courage. 

With these intentions we burn away ‘impurities’ physically, mentally and emotionally, and pave the way to our true greatness.

At the time of writing this song I was isolated and was feeling lonely and unwanted. I was in love with a girl who didn’t feel the same. Simultaneously, I had this knowing that I was where I was meant to be and that I was going to overcome these feelings of lack. I transmuted the feelings into my music, I dove deeper into my practices, and I performed austerities to clean myself out.
