A live set from The Bathhouse in Hackney Wick from back in July (I think). I’ve kept it under wraps until now because it includes a live version of my Bass and Weird Noise Experiment remix that’s just been released on the Children of the Bong remix album. The Bathhouse has an immense sound system and this was a great gig and the first I’d played with the new setup of Reaktor, MainStage and Pyramid. The first tune is a musical pun that’s probably only funny to me. The second is from my upcoming Treatment Plan song cycle. The third is some sort of unfinished experimental thing, and the last is the Bong remix.

The EP opens with its title track, setting the tone with shadowy atmospheres, razor-edged rhythms and a steady build that drags you straight into the night. “Neon Dose” follows and immediately hits you in the face, a snarling cut powered by nasty basslines, pounding kicks and an electrifying sense of movement that refuses to let up.
Things take a wild turn with “Dirty6”, a jungle-inspired techno weapon laced with mesmerizing vocals and an increasingly exuberant structure that unravels into a full-on rave eruption.
Closing the EP is a deep, dark and hypnotic remix by Amada, a slow-burn techno roller crafted for the earliest hours of the morning, when the lights are low, the crowd is locked in, and the underground pulse is at its strongest.

Raw, nocturnal and relentlessly dance-focused. Aboliv’s new EP is built for clubs, tunnels and any room that thrives on pure energy.

“distance” already speaks in the emotional language of distance itself, and in the world of EP1 • verses it’s one of the tracks that leans most strongly towards trip hop. the closer edit leaves out the almost two-minute instrumental middle section – the part where it feels good to linger on questions like why we end up in uncomfortable situations again and again, just because we can’t be ourselves. this version is released as a single on december 19, 2025 on all major streaming platforms and in all major digital music stores.
