Driven by the need to create something of their own, the Venice-based duo “Straahl" came up with their first EP, "Nowhere”. The EP is the beginning of a new adventure to be followed in the next years.

“Nowhere” starts in with the foggy downtempo track "Meanwhile". This track combines Hardcore kicks with arpeggios that variate in intensity, spicing up the rhythm. 

The second track, “Floating Fear”, is a hymn to Courage. This vivid track is characterized by atmospheric sounds and moans, blending like cries of anger screamed by the brass.

The last track is “Alex Sanderson”. Who is Alex Sanderson? Alex is the inner craziness hidden in ourselves, the aim of the track is to pull it out. 

"Nowhere" can be defined as a fluid space full of mirrors, a dynamic dimension, where our consciousness resonates, fragmenting in every aspect.

Born in Bari (Italy) in 1990, Francesco Stella started his musical career at the age of four, studying classical piano and composition. In the summer of 2014, he debuted with the new alias "Franz Alice Stern", releasing an EP on the German label Trapez LTD, followed by another EP and a remix for Fynn on the renowned label Get Physical Music. Moving to Berlin allowed him to truly establish himself as an electronic music producer and DJ, remixing in 2015 Teho, Fritz Kalkbrenner and the single by Anna Naklab feat. Alle Farben & Younotus "Supergirl." In the following years, he released numerous EPs and singles on labels such as Parquet Recordings, Click Records and Traum Schallplatten. In 2016, Above & Beyond featured on Group Therapy his remix for Matt Darey. In 2017, he debuted with two remixes for Roderic on Katermukke, a label on which he released his EP in 2018. Throughout his career, he also remixed artists such as Nils Hoffmann, Bondi, Rafael Cerato and others, and performed over 300 shows on 5 continents. Despite the pandemic, 2020 was a big year for Francesco. After years of development, he founded his own record label “Abyond”, together with Riccardo from Straahl, Matteo Gamba and Moon Leap. In the same year, he completed his audio engineering studies, and opened his own music studio where he now works as a mixing and mastering engineer.

Munich-born and now Berlin-based, Meriem discovered her passion for minimal and techno music early in life. Originally Algerian, she describes her style as mirroring the grandiose four seasons and the resulting emotions, which have a big influence on her sound's energy. Her sets are a mix of dark and deep harmonic tunes, present in her own production and represented through mixtures with other artists.

Meriem is not only obsessed by finding the special gems in record shops, she creates her own vision of sound, using analog instruments to develop her unique sound of cool deepness, which accomplishes her work on a stage. During her sojourn in Berlin, she started to performance at renowned locations across Germany's capital and at many other international spots.

Next to her musical work she developed the travel concept show for the live video radio RTS.FM, where she presented various artists and labels in different countries around the globe. She was able to present herself through her own creativity during certain live shows.

In 2017 the young musician released her first techno EP „Thesis" on Lucidflow’s sublabel „im - moral“.

Born in Brescia, a small town between Milan and Venice, Matteo Gamba didn’t grow up in a music-oriented family, nor surrounded by music inputs. Despite this, he showed interest in musical instruments and equipment at a very young age. At the age of 20, he was fascinated by the club environment and, therefore by club music. Clearly, the attraction to electronic music production is a natural consequence. With his first releases, Matteo earns the respect of many Italian professional DJs, who support his music worldwide. In 2014 he moved to Berlin and started immediately to organize his parties and showcases of his label, Theatre Records. It was 1981 when Moana Pozzi began her career in Cinema and was in some ways the icon that characterized in those years not only eros and the Italian imaginary, but also Disco Music, which in its sounds also took up the sounds of Italian erotic movies. It was the Era of soundtracks in Italy. So do I would like to recall my musical journey that  was last touched on Nu Disco and Italo only recently and I must admit that exploration is still ongoing since it does exist thousand of material on unreleased and rare b-sides starting from a sound that since 1981 has undergone many influences, has become Dance, has become Pop, but has often been preserved in the artists who most characterized it in those years.The evolution of Disco in those years created sacred and untouchable monsters in House music, anticipating Techno Music and with this set I celebrate all the sounds that can be compared to Disco and that influence it, change it while leaving its DNA still unchanged.
