This release is something special as Tyke teams up with his long-time mate and production partner Recipe. ‘Mind Games’ is centred around the exquisite vocals of Dakota Sixx and carries a lush and catchy musical vibe.

A high-energy Drum and Bass track that balances raw intensity with smooth rhythm. The drums hit hard with crisp breakbeats and deep sub-basslines, driving the momentum forward. The sound design leans aggressively — sharp reese bass growls, distorted synth stabs, and punchy kicks — but it’s controlled and polished, avoiding chaos.

Over the top, atmospheric pads and vocal elements add emotion and texture — either chopped female vocals or haunting spoken lines that weave through the mix. The vocals soften the edge, bringing a human touch to the mechanical energy.

The overall vibe is powerful, dark, and dynamic, perfect for late-night sets or cinematic chase sequences — energetic enough to move a crowd, but with a melodic core that keeps it musical rather than purely brutal.

Whiney’s underground drum & bass flare has flourished since signing exclusively to Med School. Now he’s set and ready to present his incredible debut album ‘Talisman’ - a symbol of his dedication to D+B with a strong 12-track collection of dancefloor weapons.

The hard-hitting album opener ‘Talisman’ sets the pace with epic musicality, industrial bleeps and fat, meaty basslines. Matching up with the heavyweight business are ‘Archive’ and ‘Rock Hopper’. Plus ‘Minds Collide’ can’t be missed – a middle-eastern influenced half-time stepper that matches up with the exuding attitude of ‘Portal’ that's already received support from neuro giants Noisia.

Whiney’s joined forces with Hospital’s Brazilian mastermind on ‘Sun Kissed’, balancing choppy vocal snippets with Urbandawn’s signature percussions and growling subs. Turning to melancholic movements is ‘The Farthest Shore’ and ‘Never Too Long’ the latter a collaboration with long-term label mate Keeno and lead by a strong vocal topline from Whiney himself. A final collaborative effort comes from Med School’s resident MC Inja who’s brought his lyrical genius to Whiney’s deep roller ‘Flashlight’.

Dakota Sixx' which gained overwhelming support from heavyweights such as; Bushbaby, My Nu Leng & Zero, scored a 9 out of 10 in DJ Mag and also amassed over 188'000 streams on Spotify at the time of writing to name just a few of the highlights that this release has achieved. 

Accompanying Das Kapital's remix on the original release, which made its way into two Heldeep Radio shows, is a dark and deep DnB roller from AC13, Pelikann with an exceptional bassline stomper and Xeonz with his seriously smooth re-work of the much loved original.
