The first original production from Cagey Oil Driller, a sound-design mixtape called Lungs. Made with the Erica DB-01, the mixtape was inspired by a DJ set he performed recently for Common Multiverse Initiative titled 'coughs.' DJ Tusky is the radio reincarnation of Bose Hewitt, a 19-year-old musician and orthodontic gold mine currently based in Portland, Oregon. Under the moniker ΨDEY, they’ve worked with such artists as Dreeks, AIM:M, and the online collective Mutants Mixtape to share a style of electronic music inspired by ambient, shoegaze, and hyperpop influences. Currently, Hewitt is working with fellow artists plushyplasma and hvrtstation to produce any%fest, a super-short showcase of the music in their online sphere. While not analysing large swaths of linguistics data for homework or fantasizing about escaping into the Canadian wilderness, Hewitt manages their local college radio station, KRRC, at Reed College. You can hear their musical stylings and inspirations on krrc.fm, Fridays at 9 AM PST.
