Following up on their debut transmission for A Tribe Called Kotori released in the winter of 2021, “Hypnos”, Berlin duo Acado returns to us with “Como te Llamai” featuring Vincent Marlice. Advocates of a lushly variegated, heavily syncopated electro-acoustic sound - grinding down the warm summer vibes of balearic along with a fine concoction of revamped Afro-funk tropes and classic housey chug, the pair dishes out a satisfyingly warm and infectious new specimen of their signature easy-going, nature-loving blends. 

Blowing the winds of Latin sensuality across the dancefloor, “El Aguante” takes us on a dreamy ride through mystique-imbued territories, xylophonic notes mischievously tobogganing down the octave ladder as the sturdy bass keeps us busy shaking our limbs in sync. Lead single “Como te Llamai” taps in a further jagged form of rhythmic expression whilst highlighting Vincent Marlice’s balmy timbre in the most delicate manner. Fusing brittle kalimba chords with a hip-rolling swing, world-pop accents and hazy atmosphere, Acado’s new cut is a polyamorous confluence of colours. Buenos Aires’ very own Kermesse duo cap it all off with a further slo-churning rendition of “Como te Llamai”, easing us in an effervescing smorgasbord of mangled folk riffs, patagonian jazz stabs and slo-drip hacienda hoodoo, bound to keep all booty-shakers in check throughout.

Raining for Ages is the final release of a captivating Acado trilogy on TWINTOWN. It focuses on our desire for convenience and its resulting surrender of freedom. For centuries we have removed ourselves from the rain by retreating in our concrete fortresses, which have merged into grey metropoleis. 
Raining for ages guides you through this context with a warm, analog bass line, interesting guitar elements and smooth, accentuated vocals by Lisa and Jonas. 
While the „Hi!Kai’s & Erlenbrunns's“ playfully melodic remix with its subtle jazz elements creates a breathtaking atmosphere, we are pushed to the dance floor by „Lars Landen's“ dark, multi-facetted techno-esque interpretation. 
„Matthias Seibert’s“ dares to venture into a progressive house direction that catapults you straight back to the 90's.

Raining for Ages ist das finale Release einer fesselnden Acado auf TWINTOWN. Es thematisiert unser Verlangen nach Bequemlichkeit und die sich daraus ergebende Bereitschaft zum Verzicht auf Freiheit. Seit Jahrhunderten entziehen wir uns dem Regen, indem wir uns in selbstgezimmerte Steinkonstrukte zurückziehen, die zu grauen Metropolen gewachsen sind. 
Mit warmen, analogen Bässen, verfrickelten Gitarrenfragmenten und auf den Punkt gesetzten Vokals von Lisas und Jonas führt der Originaltrack tanzbar und verträumt durch die Thematik. 
Während der Erlenbrunn Remix melodisch verspielt mit subtilen 
Jazzelementen eine atemraubende Atmosphäre erzeugt, schiebt uns Lars Landen mit seiner darken, technoiden Neuinterpretation massiv und vielschichtig auf die Tanzfläche. Zur Vollendung der Vielfalt katapultiert Matthias Seibert den Track mit seiner Progressive House Interpretation geradewegs zurück in die 90s.

Look who is back? Following up on last year's successful trilogy release, Techno Frühstück is returning to the scene with their impressive, new track "Bergwerk". This latest creation arose in cooperation with their label-buddy Erlenbrunn, who has made quite the name for himself with releases on Freude am Tanzen, Maehtrasher and Traktor Records. "Bergwerk" comes along with a groovy bass line, then digs deeper and deeper underground with its exciting and insisting melodies. If you listen closely, you may just catch glimpses of the dwarfs mining for treasures in the far background. Naturally this track will be released on TWINTOWN, which has its roots in the Saarland - a state with a long mining history.

Sie legt sich schon zur Ruhe und sie hat doch den ganzen Tag nichts anderes zu tun, als gemächlich über den Himmel zu spazieren und sich die Welt anzusehen! Und ich stehe hier mit meiner Harke und graaabe und jäääte!  Aber nun mag ich auch nicht mehr! Kohl hin, Kohl her. Ich geh nach haus! Aber, was seh ich dort? Mitten auf dem Feld... Was mag das sein? Das leutet ja, als wäre es ein Haufen glühender Kohlen!"

Es gibt Klänge, die sich wie ein Heilbalsam um unsere Denkstränge legen, die uns die Knoten aus dem Kopf kämmen und mit denen sich spontan ein inneres Gleichgewicht einstellt. Die Handpan ist ein wunderbares Beispiel dafür. Im Track Asura haben Elias Dore & Acado das Instrument mit dem gemächlichen Stampfen und den verträumten Eskalationen elektronischer Klangerzeugung kombiniert. Der Remix von Mollono.Bass geht etwas mehr nach vorne, lässt dabei aber ganz viel Raum für die meditativen Frequenzen der Handpan. Und KlangDruide interpretiert den Titel in Form einer entrückten Zeitlupenaufnahme. Der zweite Track Wadeeh basiert auf einer tiefgründigen Melodiestruktur und kommt mit ordentlich Schwung und dem einen oder anderen Spitzenzeit-Merkmal daher. Im Remix von lnnacircle verwandelt sich dieser Titel in eine psychedelische Abfahrt mit tribalistischen Trommeleinlagen.

There are sounds that act on the mind like a healing balm, that untie the tangle of our everyday
worries, that re-establish our inner balance in an instant. The handpan is wonderful example. In their track Asura, Elias Dore & Acado combine the instrument with the slow stomp and dreamy escalations of a synthesized electronic groove. The remix of Mollono.Bass has a bit more forward thrust, while keeping a lot of audio space for the meditative frequencies of the handpan to unfold. And KlangDruide interprets the title in the form of an enraptured slow motion recording. The second track Wadeeh is built upon a deep melodic structure and has a lot of momentum and many characteristics of a peak time tune. The remix of lnnacircle turns this into a psychedelic departure

'An aura is a collection of electro-magnetic energies of varying densities which are emanating from the physical, vital, etheric, mental, emotional and spiritual bodies.'

This interpretation of Jackie Komutatsu's original comes from Acado and is a downtempo remix, focusing on the organic and spiritual elements of the track. Acado starts out with a powerful kick, snare combination and shakers setting the groove for their remix. Vocals, chants and arabic flute as well as an electric guitar are combined to produce a powerful interplay of the different elements. A groovy bassline drives the track forward. The break builds up slowely with the accentuation of multiple sound Fx and vocals elements and synth basslines. A beautiful, mesmerizing but also very strong work of art, made to make you get into your groove. Perfect to open your organic downtempo, deep house or even progressive set.
