Gaslight

A Cast of Thousands is a quartet from "History's Hometown", Auburn, New York. For better or worse their songs are about contemporary life on the margins. They are loyal to their geographic, social, and political realities and create collagist portraits and landscapes that elevate everyday life. Their songs have been described as "barnstormers", "simple stabs at precious pop", with a "rough-n-ready sonic immediacy."  They've released four albums - "A Cast of Thousands", "Aqua Fur", "Alone in the Crowd" and most recently a live album entitled "Sub Rosa". Jack Rabid from The Big Takeover described their Alone in the Crowd" release "as organic and free of fatteners as a Portlandia free-range chicken, 'Alone' is good and plenty."
