Isatta Sheriff and Koralle strike again! ‘Who am I (eh-eh)’ is the first taster of the upcoming EP ‘Eat The Kiwi Skin’ by the East London MC and the Bologna-based beat smith. The duo’s first collabo ‘Laid Back’ was released in 2021 and gained 2.5 million streams to date. The artwork was created by Colombian illustrator SagaUno who also did the covers for ‘The Silhouettes Project’ (2020) and Koralle's Beat Kiosk (2021).

Eat The Kiwi Skin will be available digital and on LP (including instrumental edits of all tracks for the beat lovers out there) in the fall.

Isatta’s track record includes collabos with Flying Lotus, Oddisee, Arrested Development and Athletic Progression. She is hosting a radio show, runs her own label Doctored Sound and works as a music writer. Koralle is one of the most in demand European beatmakers with a sound rooted in jazz and boom-bap.

“The 45 Collection” by Lewis Parker is released as a five x 7-inch vinyl box set, including unreleased songs and instrumentals from the multi-faceted producer.

The man with the golden sound is back to showcase some rare material from his personal archives for the first time with this beautifully packaged and limited-edition 45 set. The set of 5 seven-inches features unheard original versions, instrumentals, and unreleased songs from a classic period of output between 2002-2006, including beats from the sessions of his critically acclaimed “It’s All Happening Now” LP and the “Put a Beat to a Rhyme” remix project. All this is available for the first time in this limited-edition 7” vinyl box set with only 250 sets.

After a long stay in Queens, NY, soaking up the energy and grittiness of the city and working with Joey Bada$$, the London-born musician is back in the UK. After several successful previous releases with KingUnderground Records, Lewis is now releasing a special treat for long-time fans.

In a standout cut, dramatic horns and raw, soulful vocals form the foundation of the instrumental version of legendary Wu-Tang member, Ghostface’s “Shaky Dog.” The original track is on the “Fish Scale” album, released on Def Jam in 2006.

“Sunny Dedications” featured in instrumental form for the first time ever; is a classic beat taken from Parker’s seminal “It’s All Happening Now” album released in 2002 on Massive Attack’s Virgin imprint, Melankolic. The lush strings and hard drums still strike a chord over 15 years later.

As Parker continues to maintain his musical integrity and commitment to the traditional Hip-Hop aesthetic while simultaneously pushing his sound forward, KingUnderground brings a rare snapshot of the veteran producer’s cutting-room floor.

"I conceptualized this song, and wrote my verse for it in 2014. 
Shortly after the death of Eric Garner. Right around the time the murderous cop who killed Mike Brown was paid $500,000 by ABC for an interview. I was infuriated. I decided to reach out to Ras Kass to jump on the first verse. I’ve always been a fan of his and wanted to get his take on the current events. By the time I got the song to him the news of Sandra Bland dying in police custody was released. Ras Kass came through the crib and kicked it with House Shoes, Jimetta Rose, and I as we discussed how fucked up the situation we were currently living in was. We finished the song and I added it to my album “Inspired By True Events”. 

Fast forward to 2019. While I was preparing the final mixes of my album, I was listening back to this song and thinking I wanted to add something else. The song felt incomplete to me. It also felt “dated”. Rassy and I were speaking on current events at the time and here I was almost 6 yrs later trying to keep this song on my record. I decided to holler at my homie from back home One Be Lo to see if he wanted to contribute to the song. After reaching out to him, he informed me that he was recently a victim of police brutality and wanted to share his story on the song. He hit the booth and provided the 3rd verse. 

Now we are here in 2020. Roughly 6 months after the album is completed and turned in and this song is more relevant than ever. The world is marching and mourning the death of George Floyd and countless others whose lives have been taken by law enforcement. It’s mind boggling to me that this song was “old news”. Now when I listen to it, it sounds as if I wrote it last week. That’s fucked up. That’s America. That’s the justice system. That’s the truth. That’s the law!

At the turn of the first decade of 2000, a stray cat from the Parisian suburbs named Fritz came to skin the bling bling of the time by imposing his claw on the scene of international indie rap. With Slow Down and On & On a series of EPs on 7’ in an ultra-efficient jazzy manifesto, the beatmaker earned his stripes with class and insolence. Since then, the path of the Paris’ tom cat is built over his experiences and meetings, including the album Beats Per Minute in duet with rapper Audessey (Soundsci), released on the prestigious American label Slice Of Spice (Lord Finesse, Marco Polo...). One will not need more to register the legend of ACCF on the pantheon of the most talented French producers of international underground Hip Hop and confirm the adage that cats control the world.
In 2015, Fritz decides to condense his night wanderings in his first album Tribulations & Life of, an album anchored in his time, made in the moment and with instinct. A few years later, crowned by a signature at the legendary German label HHV, Fritz continues to drag his feline silhouette to the four corners of the globe. So that listening to his latest album Vertical Iris gives the pleasant sensation of moving forward Stealthily in known terrain as on a new land to clear.
