Flashback. At the turn of the first decade of 2000, a stray cat from the Parisian suburbs named Fritz came to skin the bling bling of the time by imposing his claw on the scene of international indie rap. With Slow Down and On & On a series of EPs on 7’ in an ultra-efficient jazzy manifesto, the beatmaker earned his stripes with class and insolence. Since then, the path of the Paris’ tom cat is built over his experiences and meetings, including the album Beats Per Minute in duet with rapper Audessey (Soundsci), released on the prestigious American label Slice Of Spice (Lord Finesse, Marco Polo...). One will not need more to register the legend of ACCF on the pantheon of the most talented French producers of international underground Hip Hop and confirm the adage that cats control the world.
In 2015, Fritz decides to condense his night wanderings in his first album Tribulations & Life of, an album anchored in his time, made in the moment and with instinct. A few years later, crowned by a signature at the legendary German label HHV, Fritz continues to drag his feline silhouette to the four corners of the globe. So that listening to his latest album Vertical Iris gives the pleasant sensation of moving forward Stealthily in known terrain as on a new land to clear.
Addictive samples, raw and rough tones nuanced from the blue notes of the 90’s rap punctuated by cinematographic atmospheres, the same flawless recipe applied since its beginnings, is here reinforced by a slew of hand-picked featurings such as Black Josh (UK), Audessey (US), Sach (The Nonce / US), Glad2mecha (US), LayFullStop (UK) ...

Quelques années plus tard, auréolé d’une signature chez le mythique label allemand HHV, Fritz continue de trainer sa silhouette féline aux quatre coins du globe. Si bien que l’écoute de son dernier opus Vertical Iris donne l’agréable sensation d’avancer à pas de velours en terrain connu comme sur une terre nouvelle à défricher. Samples addictifs, sonorités brutes et rugueuses nuancées des notes bleues propres au rap des 90’s ponctués d’atmosphères cinématographiques, la même recette sans faille appliquée depuis ses débuts se trouve ici renforcée par une flopée de featurings triés sur le volet tels que Black Josh (UK), Audessey (US), Sach (The Nonce/US), Glad2mecha (US), LayFullStop (UK)...
