Disquiet Junto Project 500: Humming to Your Selves
The Assignment: Play a tune by yourself and as if by two people whom you invent.

The first part is just an idea I had after noticing my metal water bottle has a nice resonance when hit. In addition to the beat, every sound is from samples of the water bottle.

The electronic part in the middle is the first persona.  This character is neat, fastidious, doesn't like mess.  It's all electronic because it's easier and cleaner sounding than recording acoustic sounds.  It's a cleaner, dryer electronic interpretation of the same water bottle beat and tonality.

The third part is done by a more messy, imperfect persona. Accompanied the original water bottle beat with some guitar.  It's untreated for the most part.  I tried to do things in one take.  I didn't mess with it too much or try to make it perfect.  Didn't move things to be on beat or re-record them.  I left little sounds that I might normally cut out to clean up the mix etc.
