To anyone who know's me, I'm as obsessed with Hendrix as much as I am guitar - not him just as a guitarist - but as a songwriter and an icon.

While he's been gone just over 50 years the 27th of November '22 would have been Jimi's 80th Birthday, and such I'm celebrating with a cover of the song that made me fall in love with his music - Manic Depression. 

I first learnt this song when I was 16, when my guitar teacher Lindsay handed it to me during a lesson, and I haven't looked back since.

I procured a cheap electronic drumkit to record this, retaught myself drums as best as I could, and had a blast with the bass, vocal and especially the electric guitar, even tuning my Stratocaster to half-step to try and be a bit more authentic.

I feel this cover will be copywrite struck - and I suppose a disclaimer is necessary that I did not write this song, nor do I intend to profit off it and below are the details to the rights owners

For my eventual EP I would like to stick this on, but for that I would be seeking full authorisation if possible for copyright purposes. Currently I feel while not the most creative, this is my best cover so far, and I've been waiting for my skills to be up their enough to cover Hendrix so I do it well!
