OCEAN COLOUR SCENE release the title track from their tenth studio album “Painting” on Feb 18th.  The new album – “Painting” (COOKCD576) – is released prior to the single on February 11th. “Painting” is a glorious slab of uplifting pop perfection guaranteed to lift anyone out of the winter blues. Recorded at Vada Studios in Warwickshire with producer Matt Terry, “Painting” will also be available from Itunes at the earlier date of January 9th.

The album “Painting” is a sonic splash of colour reflecting eclectic influences ranging from Public Image Ltd, Bert Jansch and Burning Spear to Bacharach and David.  The album is a representation of all that is great about British rock; anthems, heartfelt ballads and weird, left-of-middle psychedelic wig-outs.  Quite simply, Painting is another great record from British pop’s most under-rated storytellers. As artistic statements go, it might just be their masterpiece.

And we're ready to bring back all the great memories from some of the best decades of music with our rockin, high energy shows. Of course, we don't just play 80's music – we cover some great music from outside that decade as well.

The band consists of a group of musicians from the Redditch in the West Midlands that have been playing and loving this kind of music for many, many years. Our main goal is to rock out for our fans so they can enjoy some the best music from all the best decades. So all of that being said, we hope to see you at the next show!
