Starry Starry Night (Gospel Remix of Vincent by Don Mclean)

This is a track focused on the darkness of this world and how Jesus is the Light we are called to look to. It is one I believe is fully led by God as the inspiration came from a soundtrack for 'Home', a modern animation. Before I entered the cinema, I asked God for a message and God spoke so powerfully through the words, "turn your face towards the sun, let the shadows fall behind you". This song is, as a result, focused on the 'Light of the World' and explores the reason we are all invited to turn our faces towards Him and from Sin.

Ace - Towards The Son

This song was written at a time when resting in "Contentment" was a battle. I didn't feel so "Alive & Well" and the changes around me in my family life we're difficult to walk with. Yet there is One who Remains Faithful throughout all the changes of life...Jesus! His Word is a Light to me and in Him alone I can find "contentment".

The song is based on the concept of living with "Open Hands" which has a lot to do with the picture painted in 1 Timothy 6:7 showing us that we 'brought nothing into this world' and can take 'nothing' with us when we leave it. So as we were born "empty-handed", we should seek to live with Open Hands - Not allowing our hearts to grip onto any gift that we receive - But trusting that it is in God's Love that He both 'Gives' and 'Takes Away'.

This is my aim, through God's Strength, and I hope this inspires you to let it become yours too.

Ace - Open Hands (Ft. Kafoeno, Josiah Ruff & Mimz)

It's easy to live life with the "just hold on and hope there are no problems" attitude. But what if we could fly above the storms of life and win even in situations that look hopeless! What if we stopped seeing life through the lens of "what is going on" and began to look up and see that no matter the circumstance, God is working *behind the scenes* to use each raindrop for our growth!! To win in life doesn't depend on the number of battles you happen to face, it depends on whether you have God as your Strength or...not. Success isn't found when hands are full, but when eyes look up!

This track was inspired by an email I received from a friend about a lost basketball match (with the results 60-40). I then felt God leading me to reply with these words:

"Success is a choice! At the end of every match - remember that your response to the result determines if you won - not the result itself. 60-40 doesn't mean loss. *Pride* means loss for the winners. *Giving Up* means loss for the losers."

From that - I was encouraged in my own battles to see that I can win (no matter what) as long as I fix my eyes on Jesus! So I felt led to write this song. The following day - I spent the whole day (from 10am to almost midnight) writing, recording and mixing. Then the next day (today) I noticed a mistake. Yet I was encouraged ((by the song's concept)) to "win" by taking it to the LORD! So, that evening I was able to re-record the mistake and in doing so I noticed another mistake & was able to improve the song in many other ways. 

I have seen God work wonders in the making of this track and it is my highest hope & deepest desire that He works wonders through it as you listen.

Ace - 60:40

Shooting Star is a journey, a parable, a picture of life. A pursuit of smiles, found in the light of the sun. A sun that sets. Leading to the discovery of hope through the dark, as stars in the night sky above.

I'm Ace, a UK (London) Hip Hop Artist making music for the Glory of Jesus Christ, the One that saved me. In the same way I hope to be able to truthfully say 'to live is Christ' (by God's mercy), I hope that to write, rap and record 'is Christ' also. 

So this is my voice. What you hear in my music is the very thing I wish for the entire world to hear. It is the message of my existence because Jesus is the Way I go, the Truth I know and finally, with hope, the Life I live.
