Another wonderful ACHT's premier of this year a new release "Made of Matter" by Australian producer Thom'As. He brings a melodic and deep touch to minimal house, that style of music what generally more based in bleeps and clicks than jazzy synths and cheery basslines. This EP might be minimal, but there's a tech house sensibility buried inside. Each of a track nails the rolling aesthetic Thom'As has made his own, blending house's emotional potential with the intricacy of modern minimal. Alongside the pin-prick drums and basslines, pads and snippets of synth come and go, adding a sense of depth that eludes similarly reduced tunes. If Thom'As can slip out a few more releases like this, he might convince haters of minimal music that this style isn't so bad, after all.

Our next release "Tell Me" by Discrete is colorful and deep covering different genres such as deep and minimal house music. "Tell Me" is a track that will always be in the right place at the right time. It features floating synth with looped vocals, mixed with beats that are delicate, yet tight and punchy. "Vegas" is a weird and wonderful tune that starts out with spindly synth lines wrapping around one another in tight loops before gaining momentum. Discrete's production is fairly stripped, allowing it's core elements to shine through, which radiate plenty of soul and warmth. These moody minimalist tracks compose yet another two-tracker that fits perfectly into the ACHT style.
