Oh, how I wish it was a normal day

Last night I met a girl in a bar
That looked like she just came out of a dream
With long blonde hair, and legs so thin
That could pierce your heart with their high black heels
Asked for a beer and flew away,
I was half drunk, so, what could I say?
In the time of a minute I fell for her
And I didn’t even know her name

But it’s wasted love, like throwing flowers in the garbage

As the evening sun is going down
They start hanging around, the mannequins
The clothes shop windows are getting empty, 
the streets getting filled with mannequins

They all dress smart, yeah, smarter than you
but they're not made of flesh, no, it's chalk and glue for the mannequins

I don't know that girl but I follow her scent
way down the road, then I take her hand but she's a mannequin, a fucking mannequin

Every night as I walk through the town
I see 500 people, not a human around, only mannequins
Look out there, under the town hall lights
A crowd is moving, but no one's alive, they're just mannequins

I start to run, but I just can't break free
I turn the corner but all I can see are mannequins

Where has the people gone? Where are my friends?
They used to be normal, but now look out there... they're all mannequins!

I turn and run... don't wanna be a mannequin!!

Woke up this morning, opened my window
The sky was black, the darkest night
Look at my watch, it’s half past ten
Where is the sun today?

No one but me seems to be aware
My neighbour gets a suntan
My mother hangs a line of clothes
There isn’t even the moon

No one’s aware the sun ain’t there
I walk the streets, good morning, all the people I meet
The sun don’t shine, is it in my mind?
Why does nobody seem to care?

I run in fear, something’s wrong here,
There’s an eclipse nobody sees but me
They’re smiling on, and walk around
Bang on he poles, crash on the walls, still no one cares
They feel alright, don’t need the light
Can’t see the dark, don’t have a spark and still they’re fine

No one but me, yeah, no one but me 
Darkness surround us, and engulf us, no one sees

I’d light a fire, turn on the light, if I could see
It’s from their minds, it makes ‘em blind
