Copenhagen-based artist peachlyfe announces Permission to Roam—the full-length concept album and sci-fi story forthcoming March 2024 on Nene H’s UMAY. The release features eight original tracks inspired by the artist’s self-authored story—a playful excavation of the transience and fluidity of gender, which compliments the release as a printed book, illustrated by Istanbul-based artist Cocln. 

On the release date, the artist will take over the renowned nightclub Den Anden Side in their hometown of Copenhagen.

As the dust settles after our turbulent VOL 9.0 warehouse soiree' and we prepare for our Chinese Laundry takeover this Saturday on the 3rd of August, we wanted to share our first ever live recording to grace the HYPNO sounds airwaves.

An active force within the Sydney/Eora techno scene, with a plethora of heavyweight supports and their own esteemed collective, this artist captivated ravers from the moment they pushed the fader up. This full-bodied closing is no different. Expect a two-hour barrage of raw percussion, bewitching loops, and brain-searing tension, all woven together to create a poetic finale to cap off our incredible VOL 9.0 secret location party.

About the artist:

DJ and producer Victoria Mussi is synonymous with Paraguay’s underground. Born and raised in Asunción, her pummelling productions and energising sets are a by-product of the character and cultural landscape of her home city.

Victoria’s career is driven by a passion for platforming and uplifting those around her. She enjoys the audiovisual elements of music and collaborates with visual artists and visionaries to bring her tracks to life, simultaneously building a community that celebrates art and expression in all its forms.

Mussi’s 2016 Boiler Room established her reputation on a global scale. Her performance demonstrated the breadth and depth of her catalogue; an atmospheric blend of ambient, techno, ethereal house and dubbed out breaks that showcased her deft skills and discreet taste. With releases on Jujuka, Counterchange and Planet X, Mussi’s production style is both introspective and elated. Her tracks sit somewhere between house and techno, with themes spanning the full range of the human condition.

Introvert by nature, Victoria’s more interested in creating a thriving community than being in the spotlight herself. She co-founded her label Inbetween in 2017 the nightclub Tango in 2019, with the sole aim of sharing a love for music and the arts and to celebrate the transformative power of rave culture. With Tango, Victoria helped build and develop an intimate, inclusive environment that prioritizes the needs of the community.
  
Victoria’s empathetic nature make her sets a form of telepathy. She has a knack for feeding off the crowd and wringing their energy back at them in the form of compassionate, intelligent selections, and sees music as a ritual of internal and external connection, experimentation, transformation and growth.

A carreira de Victoria é impulsionada por uma paixão por dar voz e elevar aqueles ao seu redor. Ela aprecia os elementos audiovisuais da música e colabora com artistas visuais e visionários para dar vida às suas faixas, construindo simultaneamente uma comunidade que celebra a arte e a expressão em todas as suas formas.

O Boiler Room de Mussi em 2016 estabeleceu sua reputação em escala global. Sua performance demonstrou a amplitude e profundidade de seu catálogo; uma mistura atmosférica de ambient, techno, ethereal house e breaks dub, que exibiu suas habilidades hábeis e gosto discreto. O itajaiense Roger Max é produtor musical e DJ. Com predileção pela sonoridade crua do techno, o artista do litoral catarinense explora desde linhas abertas e energéticas até vertentes densas e hipnóticas tendo a ênfase no groove como característica que conduz suas apresentações.

Em seu estado passou por cidades como Itajaí, Navegantes, Camboriú, Joinville e Florianópolis. Já fora do estado, fez sua estreia em São Paulo em evento da Morph Collective. Em 2022 o artista teve seus primeiros lançamentos: assinou uma das faixas no VA de inverno da Createch Records e teve seu primeiro EP assinado pela Prototype Records.

Em 2024, apresentou um pouco mais de sua pesquisa tocando no Túnel, evento organizado pela Weiter, em Blumenau. Além disso, lançou seu primeiro podcast internacional pelo núcleo Opportunity da Austrália. Desde então, o produtor segue o trabalho em estúdio, que lhe rendeu suportes de nomes como Andre Salata, Maccari, Berga, entres outros.
