What’s it all about? 
Following his Lost My Dog debut on the recent ‘Who’s Got Him? EP’ sampler, Acid Andee now releases the five-track ‘Stab Fever EP’. Four brand new tracks appear alongside ‘Callao’ from the earlier sampler – a track which earned the Italian DJ and producer praise from the likes of Huxley, Moodymanc, Kolombo and Elmar Schubert.

What does it sound like? 
There’s a wide range of sounds an influences across this EP – from the energetic title track ‘Stab Fever’, to the deep and groovy ‘Feelin’ Me’, the blissful and laidback ‘Talking Bass’ and ‘Sea Fever’, and the classic US house sounds on ‘Callao’.

Who’s involved? 
Originally from Venice, Acid Andee (Andrea Zanenghi) started his music career around the turn of the century as part of Arm Your Sampler, an electronic music team with Broken Chips and Black Dance. With Arm Your Sampler he played live all around Italy with names like Kiki, Kevin Saunderson and Don Rimini.

Now residing in Madrid and working as a solo artist, his first EP was released on Tunz Tunz Records in August and brought a strong Detroit techno taste while heavily referencing the old school and deep house. ‘Stab Fever EP’ is his second full solo outing and comes as Andee finalises preparations for a new live solo - a mixture of deep funky house with that all important classic feeling.

One of the most fresh and active dj/producer in the north of Italy Gabriell putting in his own blender (that is full of stickers like early nineties skateboards) some ingredients as filterhouse, early vibes, french attitude and a bit of percussive weirdo. Gabriell's skill as filter and groove manipulator is known but hes doing more: Baby got house is a total nineties celebration with broken samples and a sunny feeling inside, the melodic refrain nicely brings to a childish crow with lot of huge dance beats all around. Acid Andee makes the nineties wink concrete with a fancy house version full of deep elements whereas french Ecxellior bounces vocals mixing them with laser synths, straight to a more eighties mood. The virtual b-side 3000 shows a technologic-balearic approach off, cowbells mix with digital synthesizers, vocals and vocoders bringing us all to a plastic beach.

Lost My Dog’s annual jaunt to the Sonar festival comes this year with a five-track sampler featuring a mixture of LMD artists old and new. Like the Sonar festival itself it’s an international affair as label stalwarts Pete Dafeet and YSE (both UK) are joined by last year’s star find Acid Andee (Spain) and newcomers Sek (Greece) and Angelo Draetta (Italy).

Angelo Draetta from Bari is just 17 years of age but already has an impressive discography to his name stretching back to 2009. LMD picked up the bass-heavy, female-vocaled deep and soulful house track ‘Don’t Get It’ from a demo sent by Angelo.

Label boss Pete Dafeet paves the way for his impending Family Affair compilation and a new EP featuring Murat Kilic and Shades Of Gray remixes with ‘Rough Rider’ – a track that features all the classic elements of cowbells, chord stabs and acid lines.

Sek had impressed the LMD crew with outings on Off Recordings and Kommunity amongst others. The smoky, grainy chords, infectious deep groove and big open hi-hats on ‘Feel What You’ were all instant winners at LMD HQ.

Acid Andee became a firm favourite at Lost My Dog last year with his ‘Stab Fever EP’, his impeccable politeness and unstoppable enthusiasm. ‘Discopia’ is another AA track with a heavy nod to house of years gone by, led by a Korg line.

Last but not least, long-time Lost My Dog artist YSE delivers ‘Coloured By Contrast’ - a trademark quirky and bouncing house track with a rabble rousing intro to really get the party started! YSE’s new EP with Frank H. Carter III vocals and remix by Giom is released as the next Lost My Dog.

This year LMD hit Sonar Off on Saturday 16th June for a party at The Family Music Club, including Shades Of Gray, Pete Dafeet, Demarkus Lewis, Your Only Friend and Ryan Bliss.
