Recorded live on cassette February 6, 1988 and for the first time on the web.
In early 1988 when you lived in Toulouse (or outside Paris and its surroundings) the ONLY way to hear that kind of music was there, saturday evenings on NRJ, from 8 to 10. My cousin advised me to listen to this show “you’ll like it, it’s crazy!” knowing my love for Club/Funky music. At that time, I had already heard the term "House Music", but this was the first time I heard the names Frankie Knuckles or Marshall Jefferson. And to hear their tracks, mixed by a genius named Dimitri. The week before, while I was listening to the show, I didn't have any tapes... "I have to record it goddam! "
Trust me, it was considered hardcore back then, just a beat and someone yelling “move your body” for 10 minutes! :-D It was radical, it was the future! Then a Depeche Mode megamix, then another (more relaxed Hip-Hop/Funk) mix and then a brand new/first time INXS classic.
