✔️ Was sind deine musikalischen Einflüsse?
 Ich liebe Downtempo und schätze die Produktionen der letzten 5-10 Jahre sehr. Ich bin Berlinerin war früher noch in der Bar 25 und liebe das GG immer noch :) Ich höre sehr gern melancholischen und treibenden Downtempo, finde aber auch Künstlerinnen wie Judith Ahrends oder Ameli Paul toll. Ich mag Vocals und Break Beats. Ich finde Live Acts mega und schätze vor allem DJs die auch produzieren 😉 Musikalische Einflüsse kommen auch von Labels wie Moodfamily. Labels / Kollektive die ich mag: Lucid, Easy Tiger, Moodfamily, Beyond, Amselcom, Leveldva, Down, etc. 
Meine Sets haben immer ein oder zwei Tracks mit Vocals z.B. von Omeria, K2WO, AFAR etc. Die besten Live Sets waren für mich dieses Jahr von Shimon, Sarraab und Antaares. 


✔️ Welche Gedanken mögt ihr uns mit auf den Weg geben?
Ich möchte mit meinem Set eine warme und energetische Stimmung erzeugen, die jeden egal ob allein, zu zweit oder mit den besten Friends nach einer langen Party musikalisch umarmt und ein positives Mindset erzeugt. Mein Set beginnt klassisch langsam 108 baut sich dann im Tempo etwas auf 110 und Endet mit der Einladung vielleicht doch nochmal um die Häuser zu ziehen 🙂

Dear @mira_kater, thank you so much for your trust – What a crazy and legendary party 💘 

I wasn’t really sure if I would upload the set, as I’ve been dealing with ear issues from a persistent sinus infection for a couple of weeks and it got worse again just before the party. Canceling wasn’t an option though - Mira's birthday is always something special. So, playing without being able to fully hear was quite an adventure 😅 But the energy was overwhelming and I’m really happy with how everything turned out eventually!

There are few parties and events that you can tell are going to be special - Mira's Birthday Parties at Kater Blau are one of them. Each floor is curated with so much love and thought and the result is that you want to stay there the whole time and get lost in that special vibe. No wonder our raverhearts are looking forward to this event to get so much inspiration for our music and to meet old and new friends.

Mira is that rare kind of DJ whose music can immediately transport you into her world - a midnight circus in Berlin, where time loses all definition and anything becomes possible. 

Born in East Germany to a renowned photographer and a classical musician, she began DJing in 1996 and quickly rose to prominence as part of the growing underground techno scene around Leipzig and Halle/Saale. Her dedication to her craft and natural talent swiftly paid off with a series of rapid successes, leading her to substantially shape the electronic music scene of Eastern Germany from that point on. 

In 2006, Mira moved to Berlin, Europe’s capital of electronic music, where she found her musical home at the legendary Bar25. Situated on the banks of the river Spree with parties that lasted into the middle of the week, Bar25 was the true embodiment of Berlin’s club scene in the 2000s. In the company of notable artists such as Nu, Acid Pauli, Feathered Sun and Christopher Schwarzwälder, a musical language was being formed that looked past the minimal trends of the time towards a more nuanced, organic musical language. 

It was from this here that Mira rose to fame throughout Europe and the world, as she suddenly became a defining representative of a distinctive sound that was going global. Deep and soulful whilst always maintaining a continuous, sensual groove, Mira’s sprawling, hypnotic sets became the soundtrack for many an endless night at Bar25, Kater Holzig and now, Kater Blau. 

The centrepiece of Mira’s residencies at these clubs has been her yearly birthday event ‘Katzen Tanzen auf’m Tisch’, which runs for three days straight every December. Curated by Mira from a selection of old friends and new faces, the series has hosted a multitude of  then-unknown artists who have now gone on to tour the globe. In 2020, Mira’s birthday series came in the form of a compilation for the first time, showcasing the spirit of her events over 43 original tracks. Also a year-round booker at Kater Blau and curator for the Kater-affiliated label Kiosk I.D., Mira’s fingerprints are all over the sound of the club.

In the studio, Mira often collaborates with her partner-in-crime Christopher Schwarzwälder, and the two of them have released a host of chart-topping singles. This partnership has since carried on to dancefloors globally, where their legendary back-to-back sets make for a perfect musical dialogue between the two artists, who share a deep understanding and love of sound.

Mira has been at the height of her game for the past twenty years, continuously shaping the sounds around her, and never ceasing to push inspiring new artists. As happy playing in a small underground club in East Germany in the 90s as she is playing to thousands of festival-goers at Burning Man - Mira is one of those artists of whom you can truly say that she’s doing it for the love of the music. 

Every time a new track by some undiscovered producer falls into her lap is a new moment to fall in love again with her craft, and spread that love with the tens of thousands who hear her play.

Born to a dutch club owner and music aficionado, ACID FLORA‘s artistic journey has been charted at birth. From a simple 90’s tape deck all the way through to today’s vast and enchanting acoustic landscape, the young Swiss talent has devoted herself to finding and sculpting a signature sound that speaks to hearts and hips alike. With a raunchy touch of nonchalance she weaves heartfelt emotions with unapologetic ecstasy, oscillating between self-awareness and daring provocation. Driven by honesty and expression through music, ACID FLORA creates miraculous spaces in which the exploration of the self is not only allowed, but encouraged. With implicit authenticity, she invites people to let go of all conventions and immerse themselves in music. She does this by opening up herself to the people in the crowd and connecting with them in an intimate dialogue that inspires and fuels her musical selection. 

Following her first booking back in 2015, ACID FLORA has been a staple at Berlin’s magnificent Kater Blau with appearances at prestigious events like the Bar 25 weekender and Kater-resident Mira’s Birthday in November ‘22. On top she’s played two shows in Brazil during the famous carnival and shortly after secured her debut in New York with ZERO followed by her debut in Lisbon at Maga’s event series ,,Stories’’. ACID FLORA’s residency at Zürich’s world-renowned Hive Club has made her delivering distinctive vibes to some of the most distinguished dancefloors in Europe.

Her very first release came out on Oliver Koletzki’s ,,A Tribe Called Kotori’’ in september 2023.

Clearly, this woman is on a ride that is bound to get a whole lot wilder in the not so distant future.
