Another rough cut from our first rehearsal, Home Ain't no Good for Me Anymore - a song that started autobiographically, and then kind of ran away with itself... Again, far from perfect, but good fun nonetheless.

One very, very drunken night after a rehearsal, we decided to record a song based on an eight line nonsense poem our guitarist wrote years ago... again, probably while drunk. 

LYRICS:
I was playing chess against a badger on a cast iron board
With pieces that moved of their own accord
The Queen took offence to a comment and a Knight got floored
and a Castle slapped a Bishop just because it felt bored.

The badger smiled a smile that was so self assured
His confidence growing with every drink that was poured
The pawns screamed to the skies of the pain they endured
At the hands of their King and overlord.

We have no idea when this happened, there is a vague recollection of our guitarist sitting astride a panettone tin and testing its percussive qualities while our violinist played about with pedals.

The track would have gone undiscovered had we not coincidentally left a phone recording in the room, months later we were sat with the sublime Mary-Anne Ratcliffe from the epic Mia and the Moon (Google them immediately if you don't know them)and we decided this came out alright, so we are sharing it with you all.
