techno in the house 😶‍🌫️

You would expect that, as a musician, my greatest motivation was simply to make music. Well, that would be quite obvious, wouldn't it? As an artist I also try to understand the needs, the concerns and the current situation in which people and the world live. I believe that sometimes we need to be "Something Else" and approach things differently in order to change the environment around us.

Speaking of change, I decided to escape my comfort zone a little bit in this track. I just let myself be carried away by what I felt at the moment, so I think it's a very experimental track. However, I believe that it keeps the essence of Melodark - the balance between dark moments and harmonious melodies, the calm in the middle of the storm.

In the end, I think this track is really "Something Else". Literally...

Skyscraper is an infectious peak time melodic techno gem, laced with sultry spoken vocals, and packs a real punch. No messing around here, as this infectious number unleashes its magic. A throbber!

On remix duties @SpeakerHoney goes all deep techno on us, stripping things back, while maximising the energy levels. Big bass, big beats, big stuff!

Techno's secret weapon @GIGEE closes out the EP with a monster remix of Skyscraper. Bringing a full-bodied, deep experience into the mix with her incredible production. 

To round us off nicely, BOHO & Mr. Bizz deliver 'Back To The Rhythm', a menacing and dirty slab of goodness. Gritty noses, a fierce bassline, all doing the do here!

"Interstellar" is the first EP released by Pastiche since 2017. It's the culmination of several years of work in developing his take on the high-tech minimal genre. The 4-track EP features a fresh take on dark techno music, with many elements of trance, tech-house, and progressive. 

This EP is one of the first glimpses of a movement happening around the world towards the evolution of techno. It's the idea that hard pounding dark baselines work even better when mixed with melody, and that high-tech minimal is truly the intelligent dance music genre of tomorrow.
