I was invited to play "Tauron Nowa Muzyka" festival in Poland this year and when I saw the lineup, I was intrigued at how varied and eclectic it was.⁠
As my slot at the club Stage was the closing set on Sunday morning, I had the idea to summarize the festival in my set.  So on the train to Katowice I started digging into all the artists whom I didn't already know and put a set together that consists only of music from artists who performed at this year’s edition of the festival. 
It was a bit of work and a challenge given the limited amount of time I had to prepare, but it was quite a lot of fun and I want to share it with you!

Things that have to happen happen

Just returned back from Burning Man, where we happened to meet these two really nice fellas who turned out to be the fathers of this little cloud. Thanks guys!
Even if we only stayed a few days, Nico Stojan and me had an amazing time with all ups and downs and of course plenty of dust everywhere.
Being in Black Rock City was a perfect reset and somehow seems to become more and more of a new general birthday, meaning that after Burning Man you start into a new year.
This is exactly how I feel. One year has come to an end and a new one is taking over. Also it coincides with the end of the summer up here in the northern hemi.
Now I am very looking forward to go back to the studio and meditate with my machines and cables. I urgently need this time to become a bit more quiet, not yet hibernating, but still creative. This is the reason why there won’t be many shows in the next months. But yet there are some more Acid Sundays to come and of course you always are invited to tune in, turn on and drop out, be it here or on mixcloud or simply on acid. 

Now let’s jump a little back to the beginning of this summer. After a Fusion pause last year it was about time to return and I have to say it was more than a pleasure to play at Seebühne that early Sunday morning, right after Be Svendsen’s amazing set. For some moments even the sun joined for a little dance. And there were so many happy faces to see.
The last 20 minutes are a reminiscence to my set at Splore festival, New Zealand, earlier this year.  I had brought some of my favorite Kiwi music, but ended up in a rush towards the end as they were cutting my set-time. I wanted to to this one more time, properly, without rush. Fusion was the perfect place and moment for it.
You probably might find some tracks that you already know from my others sets, but frankly, I think rather a bit of repetition than not sharing this one at all.
There is one track in particular that I have been playing over and over for the past nine months and I still can not get bored of it. It manifested the day Nana went on to her journey. 
With all my heart, I believe that I was only channelling at the studio that day, because if it really was a track that I had made consciously I would surely have gotten bored after playing it that often ;-)
A lot of people have been asking wether it will be released and when. I am happy to announce: Yes it will be released, almost soon. Even more happy that it will be released on one of my favorite labels, I never dared to ask.
But see, things that have to happen happen.

Ladies and gentlemen,

Recently, I played three shows in the North America. The shows took place on successive nights and somehow I liked all three gigs and for different reasons. So, I would like to share them with you as a trilogy over the next couple of weeks. 

Also, there is some news that I would like to share with you; starting off with the announcement of my new album that will be released later this summer. A track from my upcoming album can be heard in one of the forthcoming sets I just mentioned, so stay tuned!

But first, let’s get back to #basementmiami where I had the honor to play with my friends Satori, Viken Arman, Goldcap, Eduardo Castillo and Armen Miran.  I hope you will enjoy the music. In the meantime, we are on the way to South Africa where Nico Stojan and I are teaming up with #bridgesformusic.  While we are there we will of course take the chance to also stop by the African Burn!

due to police intervention and the early shut down of last night's event at Mirage, I was not able to finish my set. :-( poor Bedouins weren't able to play at all )-;

Luckily I have an excerpt of my last New York set at hand, so you can continue your acid experience with this one. It was the third day of a little tour in March that brought me to the #akumandra party at #HouseOfYes. (Thanks to everybody for having made this a very special night)
The set was actually supposed to be released as third part of my trilogy, but, hey, I am happy to trade conceptional purity for spontaneity ;-)


Nothing more to say, but thanks to everybody who came out last night and had to leave earlier than expected and of course thanks a lot to #Cityfox for making it all happen.

THE MISSING LINK

Three years ago: 
After carrying this idea in my belly for several years, I finally find the moment to work it out: 
A DJ-mix that only uses breaks, beginnings and endings of tracks, never allowing the kick drum to drop.
During the time of the making my dear friend and amazing artist Daniel Bortz showed me this track by ButRic called „Up“. Once again, I was blown away by the synchronicity of ideas floating around the universe and mostly of course because this track is just a monster. These two guys had exactly the same idea, but instead making a DJ-mix, they put all into one track. A track that makes  people on dance floors crawl up the walls. Of course this blueprint of a „No-kick“-track needed to end up on my mix.

A year later and encouraged by Nico, I started to apply this concept to some of the tracks that I’ve been making in the past years and this is how my album „BLD“ came to life.

Dear girls & boys and everybody in between,

before the year is over again, I’d like to wish you a healthy and happy new year! May sun shine upon you when you need the light and may it rain on you, when you need the water. 
I am happy to choose the first option for now, leaving foggy Berlin for a little vitamin D refill. But before leaving to South America for our Acid Case tour, I uploaded one of my favourite sets of the past year:  

„KC Grad“, Belgrade, September 23rd 2017

Just a few words about it:
I remember that I listened to music of Nicola (Cruz) on the plane and that I missed to take this amazing picture of Danube river when we flew over it, before landing at Nicola (Tesla) airport, where I had only been once (twice to be correct) before and after I played a short set not before, but after a 
Nicola(s Jaar) concert in 2012.
So this was only my second trip to Belgrade and because neither I want to bore you, nor have I intentions to write a city guide, I will skip the part where we took a very nice walk through the city, and jump right to the last half hour before my gig when I discovered this amazing Serbian synth pop band „Beograd“. No question, I HAD to play one of their songs! Choosing one was not quite easy, but as always when you happen to go with the flow, you don’t need to make decisions, simply because the moment makes them for you...I ended up playing a song called "Opasne Igre“ whatever that means….haha, now that I am writing this, I had to look it up and what can I say? I do see a slight dissent in the context here. I would say, it’s rather a "dangerous game" if you’re not going with the flow, but obviously the song’s topic is somewhat different, so let’s leave it like that for the moment and continue the journey. My personal flow-master led me to Georgia later that night. Stay tuned and you’ll hear - for the first time online - one of my favourite edits of the past 433 days: Ana Malazonia & Fiqria Daiauris’ „Magnolia“ with Andhim’s "Holger Der Polka“. This one is in fact not even an edit, it’s just two songs mixed together, with the slight difference of 28 bars, meaning that one of them starts 28 bars later then the other one. I once heard someone say: "Simple but oh how beautiful“. Yes that's true!
Of course I also had to play a track of my friend Satori, whose father makes the best Sarma (famous Serbian dish) I ever tried. It's prepared with cabbage that has to be pickled for almost half a year, to get the right taste. Yummy…but let's continue with music:
I played Djordje's remix of my track „Jorge“, which - amongst three other gems - will be released very soon on our label Ouïe. 
Although you can hear a couple other new (at least back in September they were new) tracks, the general vibe of the set rather reminds me of this: 
"Some of my favourite tracks and edits from here, there and then, stirred with a little bit of - don’t forget we’re in Belgrade! - Techno, slowly cooked on (DJ) Hell’s car fire, served with deep-fried shaman punk and sprinkled with a streak of humour.“ Drink menu suggests: Gem&Bolt

Dear Listeners, 
It’s been overwhelming how many of you have written and asked for this year’s Fusion set.  One person even counted the weight of the tears he had shed every time he came here, and found the set was not online yet. So why did it take so long? 
 
It was a very intense four hour set at the Palapa, and it was a very intense week before that. To go back and revisit those moments required quite a bit of strength, which I didn’t have until now. Obviously the intensity of revisiting those moments at the Palapa had a lot to do with the death of our dear friend Bas Engels. 
You might think that I'm loco for saying this, but I know Bas was there with us, celebrating life and death, guiding me through the set and even creating some magic, when my computer froze and I had to restart it, while improvising on a drum machine. Normally the recording would be lost then, but this time it was just there as if nothing had happened. Without him you wouldn’t be able to listen to this now. 
I want to thank Bas for the special magic he created on so many occasions.  Also I want to thank Eule and his team for their foresight and faith to pull me slightly out of my comfort zone, and into this perfect Sunday morning setting. And, of course, I also want to thank all of you, because 
music sounds better with you.

Dear Reader,
It’s rare that I find the moment for a long walk on a Saturday night. Last weekend I fortunately did or better: The moment found me and so I found myself walking through empty side streets of Berlin, listening to upcoming music of Oceanvs Orientalis and Wide Awake. Both are following different paths, both are very beautiful and both proof that finally we’re done with the abuse of certain instruments. For now it seems the disguised devils are defeated and we are ready to move on to the next level. But don’t you worry, the next hype is just waiting around the corner!
At 5 in the morning my physical journey led me to Kraftwerk Berlin for Maerzmusik-Festival, where I lay down on one of the camp beds they provided. What a treat! I was taken far away by the music and had some transcendental moments that made me want to send out my fondest regards to you.
A little bit earlier, last week, I finally managed to finalise and let go a lot of new and old tracks, ready to be released in the coming months (or years). Today I happened to find another track that I don’t need to keep in my personal drawers anymore. 
The working title „New Year“ suggests it happend around NYE, probably eight years ago.
I almost decided to keep the title, as to me it feels like a new year is just starting now, but when I saw these words on the wall, I thought that might be the right name for the song. 
It’s free. And you don’t even need to like me to download it.
