After Hours

I've finally had the time to whip up another lo-fi hiphop beat. 

This time I've been challenged to sample the 'Weird Opponent' music from Earthbound, a favourite game of mine.

Video Game Battle Music

Where each leaf lies on the stem, an additional instrument is added on top of the garden ambience in relative position. I also panned the instruments according to their position on the stem from my perspective.

The curvature of the stem is represented in the change of tempo within the piece.

A fallen leaf is represented with percussive elements, and each red leaf represents a melodic motif. 

You are essentially listening to the bittersweet cry of the flower pictured above.
