AcidZab is the electronic project Samuele Maoloni conceived in 2013 driven by the discovery of House and Techno and the growing devotion to the whole world of electronic music, releasing various mixes online exploring a vast number of genres, even the extremest one. Since 2016 he joins the staff of Riccardo Balli's Sonic Belligeranza label participating as co-producer in some musical projects, among them Frankenstein Or The 8-Bit Prometheus radio drama, started in 2017 and finished in 2018 for the Bolognese web radio OC!WR, later released on CD for the Slovak label Urbsounds. He collaborated for the music, art and fashion magazine T-mag until 2022  and hosted monthly from 2022 to 2024 "AcidZab Info Point" for Link Academy Radio; a show originally aired on OC!WR until 2020.
In 2023 he joined the Bohemien Club parties crew as dj resident opening for artists like Marco Passarani.
He currently continues to publish mixes online as "A. Selector".

It was not intended to ever be public, but Jose convinced me to use it for his incredible Telepatia Podcast, so here we are. 

This mix is the first part of a series of 4 “movies mix” that I made since 2022. They are written, like a movie. Starting by the script, by the visualization of each phase of it : Climax, Problematic, Resolution, Conclusion… It's not a conventional linear mix, it's all about experience. Most of the tracks inside are in fact edits, or conjunction of tracks until sometimes 10 simultaneously to fit perfectly what I wanted to share at this specific moment. I write, then draw what i want, then i look for tracks to fit the energy i want.

This first opus, speak about a mind that during his dream go out of his body; Escaping the reality, behind the fabric of time, dip in the ocean to a cellar. During this dip, past events comes to the surface again. During this event, where past and present are together, a portal find a way to materialize himself, somewhere far more distant than the depths of the ocean.

It’s not for everyone, I know. But in my journey as a human being I realized that what touched me the most was the arts with personality. I can like, or not like, if it is unique and with personality, I love it.

Boris Divider - In Fragments Ep [Gladio Operations // GO 013]
 
The thirteenth release on the Gladio Operations label bears the signature of the great Spanish producer Boris Divider. This artist needs no introduction, as he is considered one of the pioneering producers of the electro scene in Spain, and active since the 2000s, releasing mainly on his label Drivecom.

After betting in recent years on more experimental and hypnotic sounds close to IDM, Boris returns to the pulse of the rhythms more rooted to the dancefloor with this EP titled “In Fragments”. Undoubtedly, this work brings us back to the artist's classic sound, which is reflected in “Content Location”, a track that envelops us with arpeggios and firm and forceful bass lines and well-developed masterful vocoders. The second cut we find is “In Fragments”, track that gives title to the EP and that lowers the pulsations to a softer and more emotional state.

The B-side opens with “Dynamic Algorithm”, where we get back to our dancing posture and enter dark territories, ready to explore a dynamic of sequences brimming with intrigue and suspense. We continue with “Fragmented”, where the Spanish artist delves into a journey of ambient sounds, with certain tensions in some passages. The EP closes with “Memories of Us”, where we discern his classic sound with subtle arpeggios and delicate sequences that flow in harmony with gloomy textures.
