As everyone knows Bristol is probably the main hub for underground music in the UK outside of London and thus has an exceptionally strong list of reputable 140 producers. One of those producers is Prizma. Born in Carlisle but moving to the South West two years ago he is only a very recent addition to that list but none the less one that deserves his spot.

Heavily inspired by the early Dubstep and Grime sound he started producing at 18 and from then spent his first five years honing his craft. His first official release came in 2019 which saw him spend a lot of time perfecting a 2 track EP with Killa P & Long Range (Killaz Army), Grim Sickers and Kozzie. With the foundations of Dubstep and Grime very close to his heart this project dropped as vinyl only coming out of the Low Tide Recordings camp. Amassing support across 1Xtra and Rinse from the likes of Spooky, Jack Dat, Tino & loads more he’s starting 2020 off with a bang. His first 1Forty release comes in the form of ‘Cold’ enlisting South East London’s Jon E Clayface.

Exploding onto the scene in 2015 Jon has gained a huge amount of respect for his authenticity in his music which comes down to his personality and his lifestyle. What comes as a surprise to most is his influence of heavy metal from a young age which is applied to his lyricism, aggressive on the surface but full of depth. Owing a lot to Ten Dixon for first getting him to make the jump from producer and DJ to MC, and the likes of Balamii, Radar and Mode FM for giving him the platform to light up sets, Jon has more than held his own ever since on tracks and radio alike also owing plenty to his work ethic. Cosigned by the likes of Sian Anderson, Rude Kid and Spooky as well as working with the likes of P Money and Jammz 2020 is shaping up to be an exciting year of releases.
