At the end of 2020, the Lehmann Club resident DJ signed to Marco Faraone's UNCAGE imprint. Since then, his 4 EPs for them have all scored Top 3 hit's on Beatport's Techno (Raw / Deep) charts. Marcal's Remix of his track 'Consciousness' became the best selling track on Beatport 2021 in Techno (Raw / Deep / Hypnotic). 

Big name supporters include Pan-Pot, Len Faki, Charlotte de Witte, Marcel Dettmann, Anja Schneider, Honey Dijon, Chris Liebing, Acid Pauli, Joris Voorn and Slam.

His crazy work ethic and ability to motivate himself has made him a rising star in the techno scene. With 7 EPs scheduled for 2022 plus tracks from his new brand new imprint, 'Safe Space', already in the sets of the best, the future looks very promising...

The 'Feel Like Fucking' EP by Ackermann on Rekids’ Rekids Special Projects starts with the title cut, which features hurried, pent-up techno kicks and a warm bassline. Hi-hats dance up top with sleazy vocals skating across the groove next to smeared synth details. It's a profoundly seductive track, while 'Love Is Good' has a more celebratory feel in its old-school chord vamps and punchy house drums.

The fantastic 'Push' on Safe Space label head Ackermann’s ‘Feel Like Fucking’ EP then hurries along at a hundred miles an hour with rolling kicks and driving bass. It's topped with a well-filtered synth line that shifts about the mix to bring an extra dynamic sense of energy. 'Wiggle Your Neck' gets more playful with percussive but stripped-back beats, closing out this offering with freaky vocal details and plenty of infectious bounce.

Ackermann has been a well-established DJ for many years but decided to focus on production in 2020. Since then, he has been a staple in the influential record bags of artists like Ben Klock, Len Faki, and Charlotte De Witte, while his club-ready sounds have appeared on UNCAGE, Syncrophone, and his own Safe Space label.

"The Feeling That Brought Me Here" is Ackermann's second album. Effortlessly drifting between techno and house, the album eschews his usual EP minimalism in favor of a bold, hookline focused album. Gritty chord stabs, chunky pianos and jacked up grooves dominate the palate, whilst Ackermann's signature sample manipulation fuses deconstructed vocal chops that are used more like instruments or percussion elements instead of being the centrepiece of a song with razor-sharp drum edits and intricate sound design.

While his debut album "Stadium Techno" saw Ackermann's teenage incarnation smugly manning the controls of his 2020s studio (where he is currently known for immaculate mastering and A-List mixdowns) this sophomore collection offers a polished weaponry spanning 3 years of focussed collaboration integrating this adolescent dynamist with the guiding hand of an elder reaching their production zenith.
"The Feeling That Brought Me Here" channels the intrinsic urge of embodied music creation - fiercely somatic, unrestrained, physical, immediate and kinetic. Rogue sketches and intuitive vibe snapshots resist genre constraints to favor a dancefloor defined by polished 'f##k-you' tectonics and sleekly engineered attitude.

From the unapologetic feel-good opener "Good Times" via tougher chord slappers like "Click" or "Alter", a casual techno banger exclusively made with jungle sounds ("Now you know" with Vinicius Honorio), the deep techno bliss of "Noha", the cathartic "Let Go" or the disco infused outro "Gratitude" its all unmistakenly trademark Ackermann productions and all the various styles are firmly held together by his emotion over function approach to music production.
