This is the Overworld Theme featured in Chapter 1 of Y2K. It's the most traditional of the arrangements, and draws influence from Dvorak and Morricone. Perhaps some Shostakovich too.. 
The video game influence is the “Wind Scene” from Chrono Trigger. The opening plucked strings are meant to be a direct reference.

I was super excited when this game was announced, and just maybe five days ago the Japanese website went up with the full version of this song, which was heard in the trailer. Here is Magicant, from EarthBound Beginnings/Mother. I thought it would be appropriate to upload a song from Mother on Mother's Day.
I've been having a lot of fun playing around with samples and soundfonts from the EarthBound series. I figured it might be cool to incorporate some samples into this song, almost like little memories of the many adventures throughout the Mother games.
I'm sure that keen fans of the series will recognize the samples and instruments I've used.
