Neapolitan DJ/producer Molino arrives on Jamie Jones’ Hottrax with ‘Prince’ two-tracker this August. 

Having previously appeared on Deeplomatic, Noexcuse Records, Be One Records, and more, the Visionary Grooves founder steps up for his first release on Hottrax, turning in two grooving house tracks for Jamie Jones’ imprint. 

Lead cut ‘Prince’ twists classic disco grooves into a swinging house jam, with knocking percussion and funky drum rolls swirling atop a rubbery bassline. ‘Numbers’ takes a deeper turn, bringing shimmering delays, pounding low-end, and robotic vocal slices together for the perfect late-night curveball. 

Molino ‘Miss Me’ lands 6th August on Hottrax.

Eats Everything turns in a three-track EP of high energy jams, celebrating the short-lived but iconic
‘Hardbag’ genre from the mid 90s, with all three featuring vocalist Frankco Harris, a performer and host from NYC. 
“Hardbag, a style of music championed by Tony De Vit, Jon Of The Pleased Wimmin, Burger Queen, The Sharp Boys and many many others, was the antithesis of ‘handbag’ house which was popular in the cheesy clubs at the time. Super tough, super fun, largely queer-centric tongue in cheek music that was purely for the dancefloor and didn’t take itself too seriously all the while being absolutely mint (to me anyway). These tracks are for the party, they are for inclusivity & they are not meant to be taken too seriously.” - Eats Everything Kicking off with ‘Bobby And Ken’, Harris’ vocals float atop a punchy instrumental, incorporating shuffling, garage-esque drums, squelchy basslines, and off-kilter FX. ‘Coming For You’ is a high energy affair, bringing pounding percussion, bouncy low end, and high pitched leads to the table, before ‘Wallop (Better Than TheRest)’ brings the EP to a close with rave stabs, grinding build-ups, and cheeky vocal hooks.

Solid Grooves drop their latest Summer Sampler to close August as Michael Bibi and PAWSA invite a selection of the scene’s finest to deliver the label’s 2021 instalment.

An annual fixture in the calendar for many, Solid Grooves’ summer Various Artist offering welcomes a project showcasing a UK label at the forefront of the scene. Having recently returned as a family across sold out shows in London and Bristol, late August welcomes this year’s highly-anticipated drop from a wealth of SG favourites and close friends.

Offering up a combination of up-front and more minimal-leaning productions, co-founders Michael Bibi and PAWSA step out alongside residents Bassel Darwish, Blackchild (ITA), Eddy M, Ramin Rezaie and Reelow, plus 2021 guests Carloh, Detlef and Wheats, to deliver a ten track package you won’t want to sleep on.

In typically thrilling form, Tiger Stripes returns for his annual outing on Drumcode. 

His ‘Rocket’ EP was conceived during the pandemic as the Swede busied himself with paternity leave and taking care of his little tiger. During these fulfilling stretches of time, the pair immersed themselves in everything from Aphex Twin to Kelly Lee Owens and Yazoo, while at other times the Spotify playlists Electronic Rising and Altar would frequently soundtrack their playtime. The producer took this spirit with him into the studio, aiming to harness the positive energy of his reference points and combine it with his signature brand of multi-faceted techno. 

The EP opens with the title track, marked with a distinct UK flavour and packed full of late ‘90s dance energy. Its uplifting chord progression and tidy breakbeat interlude imbue it with plenty of warmth and colour. ‘Fire’ is a sharp attitude-fuelled cut driven by a heavy bottom-end and zippy percussion, while a bad arse hoover dominates proceedings. The muscular ‘Your Love’ is comprised of multi-layered bass stabs and catchy vocal licks, which combine for an arresting finish. ‘Song for Debbie’ rounds out the package, a marriage of dream pop and woozy late-night techno. This is Tiger Stripes at his transcendent best.

LondoGround, the natively Argentinean artist, drops a thunderous release on MOAN, featuring two original tracks plus a remix by Alessio Viggiano.  The title track called "Red Line" is a masterpiece with a catchy percussion groove, combined with a funky bassline and just the right mass of melodic elements to create that true minimal vibe.   The second track "Glitch Boy" is filled with spacy, delayed vocal chops, perfect deep chord melodies and a tight off-beat hi-hat giving this special hypnotic rhythm.  Remix duties are excellently prepared by Neapolitan Alessio Viggiano. Delivering an totally energetic feeling generated by a very special combination of brilliant, freaky bass, wicked drum rhythm and vibrant organ theme.

Premiere: LondonGround - Glitch Boy [Moan]

Barcelona's upcoming talents C.I.S.C.O and Pau Guilera are behind this release, two tracks plenty of up-to-date sounds and amazing vocals with a topclass treatment. Minimal house at its finest in 'La Musique' and 'Himachal' and a percussive and melodic trip in the De la Swing remix, completing a 3-track EP for a wide range of electronic music lovers.

Jamie Jones - Handy Work

Manchester powerhouse trio Mason Collective has taken the scene by storm since 2018, collecting a decent streak of releases on top-notch labels in quite a short time, including Saved, Do Not Sleep, Play It Say It, and their own Whippin. They now make their Tamango Records debut with 'External Instrument' EP, which also marks the return of label-boss Yaya on the remix duties. 

The main original is a blend of pure Mason vibes, with pointed kicks that set the tempo, beating impetuous between catchy congas and eager whispers in a progressive unfolding of elements. Nevertheless, Yaya turns his version into an even harder dancefloor stomper by letting you in the jungle with a wild bassline and deadly open hats. Up next, titled 'Find Friends' fuses playful synths, chunky percussive rhythms with an enjoyable vocal sample for the ultimate summer-mood tool, letting 'Naija Boi' round off the EP in style thanks to a thunderous low-end area, extra-sharp drums, and Mason's distinctive pinch of craziness.

Proudly People - Push It

We welcome Italian rising star Enrico Sangiuliano to Tronic! After countless hits on Drumcode, Alleanza, and Unrilis, Enrico decided to send us some music for a release on Tronic. He gave a us a powerful techno track ‘Hook At The Border’ which is sure to rock any floor. If this was not enough we enlisted another one of our favourites, Paride Saraceni, to make two remixes of this track. Paride delivered a peak time festival style remix as well as a deeper yet still powerful version. We are very happy with this release and hope you will hammer this release.
