Touch James Murphy Tonight

Brutalist Pop. This grew out of one of those perfect memories of time and place. A hot summer night, drinks and smokes with friends on my porch, an extended mix of Being Boring going round and repeat and mixing with the sounds of fights from behind the bar on the corner of the street. That moment informed the first lyric which then, along with an arpeggiated K3m bassline, became the genesis of the track. From there it's a darkened and slimmed down interpretation of Brutalist Pop.
