Alan is a bit of a regular at Acoustic Roots!
Since May 2013 he has recorded 3 albums with us, and he is about to finish 2 more.
We've always loved working with Alan and we take great pride in making orchestral arrangements to accompany his guitar pieces. We often add violins, piano, drums, percussion and an array of other instruments to make his music the best it can be.
This song is a great example of this, Alan is playing the guitar; everything else is Acoustic Roots' production.

Beth Frisby came to us with some songs that all comprised of incredibly catchy vocals and simple acoustic guitar. Beth wanted more than just the standard run-of-the-mill solo acoustic E.P so we went to town and created something really special. Jonas, and his hat Bruno are originally from Germany and came to our previous Acoustic Roots studio armed with four songs to record before he went back home. Jonas went for the very popular E.P Package and was incredibly happy with the final result.
We produced the E.P for him - adding drums, bass, backing vocals and other bits and bobs. 

"I have been writing and playing my own songs for a couple of years but I never actually recorded them professionally. Now, after having spent one year abroad in Nottingham I wanted to have something special to take home with me as a souvenir, my EP 'snowdon'. Looking for suitable studios, Acoustic Roots immediately caught my eye as it is especially designed for acoustic artists and has got the best prices I could find. We spent 4 days in the studio and I was really nervous whether everything's gonna work out, but it did. Frazer is a great guy to work with and just to have around and what he made out of my 'little' songs is just amazing! Even though I'm moving back to Germany, he will still be the one I will contact for mixing/mastering my future recordings."

Snowdon - Jonas & Bruno

Josh Kemp is renowned for being one of Nottingham's hardest working musicians.
He's always on tour, gigging somewhere and releasing some sort of song or music video.
We were very lucky to have Josh come visit the studio to record his new single,
"A Swan Song".
He came to us after hearing the work we've done for Jamie Moon & Beth Frisby so together we have created something really exciting.
We worked closely with Josh on the production and arrangement of the track, Acoustic Roots mixed and mastered it.

The Chase are a very young band hailing from St. Anns, Nottingham and are already making a good name for themselves on the local scene.
They originally came to Acoustic Roots to record an acoustic version of their song 'Rescue Me'. They were so happy with the end result that they've never looked back. They've now been recording with us for just over a year.

"When we entered Acoustic Roots we were amazed at how welcome we were made to feel. Frazer was so friendly that it felt like we had met him before.
When we started recording, he was full of ideas and listened to what we wanted our songs to sound like. We have been to studios before and our songs have sounded very disappointing...but not at Acoustic Roots.
We will only use Frazer in the future; he's that good..."

Paint My World - The Chase

Seanny O'Raw travelled all the way from Ireland to record a 13 track album with us. Him and his drummer John recorded all the tracks live in our live room and what a bloody laugh we all had. We didn't produce any of the songs on the album, however we did mix and master them all.

Tom came to Acoustic Roots for one evening to record his debut single 'Justice For Blues'. We produced the track for him, adding drums, bass and bits of piano here and there. There was a very quick turnaround for this one and we were happy to meet his deadline!

Don't Flop star and all round brilliant MC Youthoracle came to Acoustic Roots to professionaly mix and master his latest release 'Flash Floods Volume 2'. After years of releasing nothing but demos Youthoracle realised it was time to embrace the next step. His producer sent us the stems and we then mixed and mastered his songs. We also did a fair bit of vocal production for him (just for fun!).
He was very, very pleased with the outcome and was overwhelmed that he finally had a release of professional quality to give to his fans...
