My version of a wonderful story by Ralph Mctell. It tells the story of when farm workers gathered in villages at the begining of the harvest to be selected for work, a 'hiring fair'. At the fair he sees a lovely girl and is smitten. His luck is that she is hired by the same farmer. He spends the summer coveting her from afar. But at the end of the harvest.......
The second track tells the story of someone who does a runner from a relationship with nothing but his winter coat... and a loan of a few quid from the poor girl !

Singer /guitarist. Been playing since Bob Dylan was a young man so quite a while. Currently working on an album called 'acoustic storybook'. a collection of songs with a strong story line. Due to be finished at the end of the year but hey, who knows. Plays a Yamaha FG140 6 string and a Yamaha FG312 12 string.Will post more tacks as they become available.
