'I Don't Wanna Be A Grown-Up Yet' is a mid-tempo R&B song which takes inspiration from R&B and hip-hop artists that gained prominence in the early 2000s such as Nelly, Ashanti and Beyoncé. Lyrically, the song is a coming of age anthem in which A Crest sings about his fear of growing older as he enters his early 20s. Within the song, he comments on the pressure he feels to become financially stable and his tendency to compare himself to people that have accomplished more than he has within his lifespan. The song serves as an anthem for others that are struggling to enter adulthood. The track will be on A Crest's debut mixtape, which is due for release in early 2021.

A Crest Vs. Nicki Minaj - Big Fat Ass ("I'm Out")

A Crest is a pop vocalist, songwriter and producer based in Melbourne, Australia. He is best known for mixing his satirical personality and lyricism with commercial dance-pop and R&B music. A Crest began his career in late 2019 with the release of his dual single 'Paid / Poor Bitch'. 'Paid' is an uptempo trap pop song which channels a snobby rich kid and 'Poor Bitch' is a personal R&B ballad about financial difficulties. The former received over 1,000 plays on Soundcloud and the latter received over 1,000 impressions on TikTok during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Growing up as a queer kid who was bullied throughout primary school and high school, A Crest used music as an escape from the world to comfort himself and to make him feel like he wasn’t alone. When nobody else could understand his struggle, twelve-year-old A Crest knew that at least Nicki Minaj could! Now that he’s making music on his own, A Crest aims to be that voice of comfort for a new generation of kids that are just like him.

If you want to dance the pain away just like twelve-year-old A Crest did, his next single 'I Don't Wanna Be A Grown Up Yet' will be released this coming November the 19th. His debut full length project is due for release in early 2021.
