After releasing a stirring deep-disco remix of Chromatics’ “Lady” in August, Denver’s Action 52 have once again dipped their toes into the remix pond, this time taking a deep and melodic house approach to rework newly formed Galantis and their first single “Smile”. The duo’s vision of the tune establishes itself immediately with a punchy kick-drum opening a spacey segue into a full blown groove and whereas Galantis’ original song features powerful builds and an EDM production kit, Action 52 takes an old-school approach of mainlining the slightly pitched, and powerfully soulful vocal onto an incisive melody.

Most recently coming off a Future meets G-House take on Missy Elliot's "Lose Control" after a period of inactivity, Action 52 returns with an official remix for brand new LA based electronic duo Soma and their debut single "Uncertain".

A bit of a departure from their latest string of G-House revisions, Action 52's "Uncertain" remix sees the boys dive a bit deeper than usual with a lush, bouncy and tasteful soundscape played against Soma's soulfully sexy vocal work and stems. The pair blends a perfectly swung rolling bassline, grand piano stabs and just a hint of deep wobble to create a tune which shows off the Action 52 essence while maintaining the backbone of Soma''s wonderful original. Behind a fun-loving 80’s arcade concept taking its name from the fitting and congruently titled, ultra-rare, NES platformer and years of combined skill behind the decks and inside of their gadgetry strewn studio; Action 52 is a testament to the essence of style meeting substance. Students of the dance scene since their days in high-school basements crafting waxy sets on Technic SL1200’s, their sound is one combining a resonant house backbone with shades of disco, indie, jazz and hip-hop; all of course painted with the glossy tinge of a gritty neon, late 80’s arcade.
