Your next guest is The Deserter [@desert3r] . He is an artist from Buenos Aires, Argentina. He’s been making Ghetto, Electro since 2019. His creativity was always influenced by classic Detroit techno and 90’s rave scene. He has his tracks released in a collective based in Buenos Aires, called “Bat Soup Crew” and also in “ALL EYES ‘N’ COLOMBIA” by Bogoture Records. His next track will be released on Sempember, 9 in an album of Bestiario Latino.

After the impact of last year's huge ‘Defend Your Planet’ VA, Avoidant immediately set about recruiting another incredible group of artists that represent the Glasgow based label’s output. ‘Dark Planet’ brings together established, classic and up and coming producers who take their cues from the Detroit and European schools of electro. Gathered from across the planet - from Australia, The Netherlands, the USA and UK - the compilation sound is geared up for the dancefloor.

@cyan85 has become a real reference for all electro heads since his debut release back in 2019.
His new LP on Curtis Electronix is a jaw dropping journey on those Motorways we all have ridden in a way or another. The vocoded vocals, reminiscent of those Greats, the squelchy bass lines ripping up the 808 riffs and the sulphuric synth lines will drive you from darkness into light and back again, defining, at the same time, the quality signature of this record. The process is clearly the basis of this work. The Roots are clearly the reason.

Matt Parent lived in NYC for the past decade cutting his teeth as a live performance artist and DJ. He released two LPs, one on Chem Club and most recently on Acid Camp. He has also released on compilations for Lost Soul Enterprises, Machine Jazz, Blankstairs, Microtones, and Mysteries of the Deep. He’s also a member of the group SEER with Maroje T. They released on Chem Club, Detour, Machine Jazz, and most recently Ghostly International's Spectral Sound. 

Currently living in Philadelphia,
CG animator by day as well as a college professor,he also finds time to mix and master tracks for labels and friends as well.
