Besides the more deep and trippy stuff, dub techno also holds a place in my heart. Over the last two years I've been carefully collecting tracks from that genre and recently decided to put them together in a mix. As usual with the sets I record at home, I tried to span a bow, starting with more settled rhythms, developing a certain flow one can get lost in and closing the whole thing with slowing it down again. Best served with headphones, enjoy the ride!

This fifth EP in the Steve Rachmad re-issue series contains a colorful combination of three tracks from different releases. Side A brings the sought after track 'Teknitron', originally released on his 3rd EP, originally released under his short-lived alias Black Scorpion back in 1995. 'Transpose' is taken from his first Sterac EP from 1994, while the last tracks 'Alastria' comes from his second album Thera, originally released in 1998. All tracks are re-mastered of course.

Steve Rachmad’s richly melodic strain of techno has resulted in a huge body of work he has been growing since the early 90s. His sound is the perfect distillation of machine soul – dubby atmospherics and crisp, danceable dynamics balanced in perfect unison. Amsterdam’s Delsin Records gathers together some of the Dutch techno figurehead’s most important, sought-after works in a new EP series, all remastered from the original DAT tapes from Steve’s archives. Next up in our series is Rachel Noon, a NYC-bred spirit, based in Berlin. She still attributes her most important career strides to Brooklyn’s underground queer scene - being a long-term resident at Unter after-hours and through her own event series Large Marge, founded back in 2017. In 2022 also joined the Copenhagen-based collective Fast Forward.

Rachel provides a proper banging techno,which she describes as "a mix that is equal parts psychedelic, groovy, tribal, and surprising. This mix includes a selection of tracks that have really smashed the dance floor during some recents sets - including the Bassiani closing and also 
my debut set in the UK at FOLD. "

Techno soundscapes, light to dark, into high engaging percussive and bongo sounds determines her style.

Her playful sets feature some extra spice with vocals at peak and always leave room for some orchestral feelings due to the dramaturgy that builds up.
