Little Grids consists of 3 short vignettes that function as glimpses into the antics of several unrelated beings. Firstly, Xiangiao, a gelatinous worm, currently being launched through a tiresome void of peanut rain. We then observe Lummo, an old witch who never learned to die, attempting to teach a gang of half-witted witch children a song that will revive an ancient superpower. Finally, Usohachi, a teenage bug bandit who wears a cool black coat, sipping golden tea whilst nimbly freerunning along the pink cliffsides.

A few months back IBM approached me with a crazy challenge - to make a track with an accessible vibe only out of sounds I recorded from their server centres around the world. In 'normal life' I make electronic music live from scratch using a technique called live sampling. Live sampling allows me to take the sounds I hear around me and instantly sculpt them into musical parts. I developed my own instrument the Flow Machine to allow me to do this. This track is made up of live performances on the Flow Machine with the sounds of cooling fans, hitting server cases and opening door latches etc. No synths or drum machines were touched in this process!
