been a long time since I checked out your music, maybe since the Echodub days.

Copped it today, gonna bump this in the whip when I get off work!

Created in 1990 using a Tascam 244 four track cassette recorder, a few reverb and delay fx units and a wide collection of vinyl, I created this ambient mixtape.
I gave a few copies of the mixtape to selected close friends but unfortunately we lost our copies over time... that is until recently, when a cd burn of the mix turned up in a friends collection 32 years later!

As one of Holland’s hottest electronic music exports, Bart’s pristinely produced brand of techno finds that rare between forward-thinking creativity and dancefloor sensibility. It’s this unique amalgamation which has led to standout releases via Break New Soil, Cocoon, Drumcode, Tronic and Rejected, while also leading him to remix top international talents Adam Beyer, Christian Smith, Joris Voorn, Kollektiv Turmstrasse and Nicole Moudaber. Also celebrated as a DJ, the Amsterdam resident often programs a bevy of exclusive music into his sets, perhaps none more famous than his much loved take on ‘Papua New Guinea’ by Future Sound of London. Released in 1991 by the iconic British duo and favoured by a broad selection of electronic music tastemakers, Bart took to reworking the track last year and it quickly became a highlight in his sets and those of his contemporaries, most notably Drumcode boss Adam Beyer. Now as 2021 winds to a close we’re happy to offer Bart’s much sought-after version as a free download. Enjoy!

The result might not be the best 'mixed' mix, but it is a compilation of rock-dnb for which I'm sure you are grateful. Psychedelic Jelly is proud to present the 5th in a series of nodes to keep you entertained during lockdown! A node is a spatial object which is used to represent the connectivity between two different waterway links, just as a mix is a way of connecting different songs.

For this one we asked one of the frehest up and coming psydub talents coming out of the UK; Botanikal! He first came to our attention when he released his debut EP "Trail Blazing" on Mindspring Music last summer! We loved it and had to ask him for a track for our last compilation "Psyphozoa".

Short Stories [Album previews] Out Now!

ActRaiser is the alias I use for my electronic music productions and DJ Sets. I am based in the UK, deep in the Suffolk countryside, which gives me much of my inspiration. I'm most known for producing Liquid Drum & Bass, but I am now focusing on a more downtempo style, with a Trip-Hop album called "Short Stories" released on Kraak Records in 2021.

Since 2011, I've had music released on a wide variety of respected labels such as Fokuz, Med School, Liquicity, Celsius, Phuzion, Scientific, Offworld Recordings, Echodub, Cold Busted and, most recently, Timewarp Music.
I've had the pleasure of Djing at festivals and events in the UK and abroad, and have played at esteemed events such as Liquicity Festival (2016 and 2017) [Netherlands]. Med School @ Corsica Studios [UK], Metalheadz [UK], Double Trouble [Czech Republic], Bass Rotation [UK], Spektrum XL [Netherlands], and I even got to spin liquid drum & bass in various bars in Thailand while visiting in 2013.

I've provided studio mixes for Bassdrive and Future Sounds Radio and contributed mixes and podcasts to various online outlets. All of my mixes are recorded using a Pioneer DJ Controller and Serato, while my live sets are usually played using Pioneer CDJs.
