A piece based on Francis Bacon's Triptych Inspired by the Oresteia of Aeschylus. Made for the Hugo Moroux and Ben Levin February 2021 song challenge on Twitch.tv: "Write a song based on a visual art piece of your choice."

Made for the Hugo/Ben song challenge to make a song based on a piece of visual art.

The image is my girlfriend's first foray into digital art. I broke my tune into two parts. In the first section (the "Day") I tried to envision whatever creatures living in these mushrooms having a grand old time partying and doing jigs and whatnot. The "Night" section winds everything down as the creatures head to bed. I used the samples for random effects and transitional sounds. Ben's caaaaaan turned into a bass synth for the final part.

This track was composed for the 10th Song Challenge, a monthly community composing project of Hugo Moroux FT. Ben Levin and Firetools. The prompt was to create a song based on a picture.

The photo displays a moldy curd and was taken by myself.
My composition is based on that very curd with the focus on the spread of the fungi; starting with a nice and slow clean guitar that turns into a mess of effects just like the sweet curd evolved into a colorful wasteland.

As usual for Song Challenges I worked for about 8 hours straight on the day before/ of the release. #3AMGang
All you hear is my electric guitar with some effects of the amp or mixer. I used Ableton for recording and editing.

FISHING

I tried to write a song dedicated to Chuck Tingle's fabulous tinglers, but it got too big.  Decided to hang out with this cat who knows they're gay, but doesn't know where they're going. 

This was recorded on my laptop mic, using lyrics written in part on my twitch livestream, the guitar is a children's 1/2 size hello kitty rainbow acoustic guitar, the voice is my own.  The sheet music in the image inspired the lyrics, and I tried to capture the meandering vibe but not doing any production.  I sang as loud as I felt like, and played the notes I felt like, and tried not to care where they took me.
