Release Infos:
We move in Constant Circles. Music, Art, Fashion, Life. The most perfect shape in existence, a mathematical certainty, with no beginning and no end. This is our journey. This is our sound. 
Inspired by Hip Hop, 70s Funk and Jazz music, DkA skillfully merges all these influences, above the foundations of Deep House and dancefloor Tech. Following a string of releases on high profile labels like Mobilee, Hot Creations and Get Physical, along with a well respected live show performed across the world, he makes his debut on Constant Circles with a rounded and eclectic EP, showcasing his versatility and craftsmanship as a producer. 
Add to this stellar remixes from Sobek (Moblack Records) and Point Sole (Sincopat, Suara), who each bring their individual touches and style, adding groove and melodics to the respective originals. 
Artwork by Factory Fifteen: 
Factory Fifteen is a directing and design collective, formed by Jonathan Gales, Paul Nicholls and Kibwe Tavares. They create thought-provoking short films, narrative driven music videos, animations, immersive installations, branding and digital artwork.

"First conceptualized in 2011, Andy Godderis and Igor Shumlyanskiy make up the Mononoid production duo. With recent releases, including their first album, on Einmusika Recordings, Lost & Found, Traum Schallplatten and remixes on a lot of other top notch labels it is no wonder that these two heroes are welcomed guests at every occasion. Their unique mixture of cinematographic and melodic techno forms highly enjoyable rides throughout every night. With the first track from this EP, „Avoidless“, they extracted the exact zeitgeist from the dancefloor to the studio, creating a driving Techno Bomb with a very catchy melody. „Silent Truth“ comes with a a deeper, mysterious atmosphere, that takes you on a thought provoking journey. The proof and at the same time the accolade for Mononoid comes with the last track of the EP and the Remix from electronic legend Petar Dundov."

PREMIERE: Mononoid - Avoidless (Original mix) [Ritter Butzke Studio]

Odd Only finally returns back to their own imprint Joyfriend with a new record after their excursions on Empore and Musica Autonomica: "Carla" is the latest entry by the two and includes two originals and a remix by Schlepp Geist from Leipzig.

The title-giving piece of the record impresses with its sophisticated synthesizer harmonies on a mercilessly driving groove. Already part of Odd Only's live set for a while, “Carla” has undoubtedly been written for the cellars of the world and will provide for one or another special moment on the dance floor with its intriguing mood.

Intuition, on the other hand, with its ironic title, presents a challenge: Its lavish and extraordinary drum arrangement sits enthroned on a broken bass drum groove and represents a welcome break from the usual realms of the 4-to-the-floor-formula. It does not stray too far though and keeps its compatibility with classic house and techno numbers.

In the end, "Schlepp Geist" presents his own interpretation of the title track, enriching it in particular with a multitude of atmospheric drum events, which weave the main motif into an always surprising and impelling context.

Odd Only - Carla (Schlepp Geist Remix)

French producer and DJ Acumen returns with his third and most innovative album to date, Brune. Titled after the latest addition to the Acumen family, Brune is the name of his baby daughter, which follows suit to previous albums, the first of which dedicated to his son, and the second to the girls and women he loves.

The eleven track collective sees the Frenchman welcome a host of guests, kicking off with Cari Golden who lays down a catchy and beautifully soulful vocal over a classic house groove and trippy melodic patterns and keys, ‘Made For Me’ is a track to show off the versatility of Acumen. ‘Hyphen’ takes things a bit deeper as a drone bass line whirs throughout, carrying you through monstrous highs and hands in the air inspiring drops.

Mattia Pompeo and Forrest are the next guests welcomed into the studio with ‘Prés De La Mer’ where reverb soaked vocals inspire you through the breakdowns and see you off into the sunset. The bpm drops to 100 with the title track ‘Brune’ in which has been somewhat uncharted territory for Acumen once again proving his ability to adapt and conquer. The progressive vibes return with ‘Lointain’, another track which delivers empowering melodic foundations to keep you propped through the late clubbing hours.

If previous tracks represent sunsets, then ‘Strictly Taboo’ is a shimmering rainbow of carefully selected chord progressions and raw synth work. ‘Strictly Taboo’ acts as the calm before the storm as the following ‘White Devil’ opts for eerie vocals throughout to keep you on your toes alongside harder kicks colder chords. Phonique joins Acumen for ‘The Magnificent Road’ bringing in dissonant melodic selections and an early 00’s French sound.

Marc DePulse’s collaboration ‘Dominate Me’ brings back the soaring build ups and minimalistic drops of perfect simplicity between kicks and bass. Acumen sees the album out riding solo with ‘Intime’ and ‘Take A Course’, the latter of which instilling a tech house groove to close the show.

Acumen, Antoine Garcin, is a French Producer / DJ with a back catalogue stemming releases on the likes of Diynamic, Last Night On Earth, Suara, Selador, Get Physical and his own Time Has Changed imprint.

Born a Parisian, but now living in his home of Avignon, Acumen has been making music since the 2000’s as a self taught artist with every creation coming direct from the musical ear. Although self taught and with parents that weren’t musically interested, music has always been at the forefront of his life whether it be Rock or Electronic. The Clash played a huge roll in the early years before the electronic and house bug took a hold, with the likes of Depeche Mode acting as that stepping stone to what is now a fully fledged career path in electronic music. DJing was the first door to open alongside friends, however the creative aspect soon appealed to Acumen as he set his sights on the studio.

"I was very quickly fascinated by musical creation, by what a good, melodious piece could do to people. The ecstasy, the trance that can be instilled on a dance floor." - Acumen

Aside from music, Acumen prides himself as a family fan, which is apparent when looking across the album releases to date. The first of which, dedicated to his first born son ‘My Superhero’, was followed by ‘My Girls’ a full LP dedicated to the women in his family, both of which dropping on his own label of Time Has Changed. His secondary career is Pharmacy, one which demonstrates the professionalism of Acumen across industries, being able to balance an impressive musical career, full time business and family.

Time Has Changed was born in 2007 at a time when the balance between studies and a passion for music were at heads with one another. Now more than ten years later the label has flourished, releasing the likes of Oxia, Betoko, Alex Niggemann, Mihai Popoviciu and Barem, and is regarded as one of the key players within the French music scene, delivering dance floor bound tech house.

Over the years Acumen has got behind the decks in some of the worlds top venues, including the infamous Panorama Bar and Paris’ Rex Club. 

With a string of recent releases on Sasha’s Last Night On Earth and Selador all landing well within the Beatport Top 100, Acumen has now demonstrated his talent as an artist, creating a pathway which is certainly bound for the top. The third in a series of album releases is set for release later into 2018 and will once again showcase his versatility in the studio and is aptly named ‘Brune’ after his youngest daughter.
