Moment Cinetique return with an EP from the multi-talented Andy Ash plus London-based Acuña homie Kristy Harper.

The title track ‘Still Working’ is a slice of infectious, brass-highlighted, sample-looping deep house which Kristy strips back in to a dancefloor ready weapon on her remix.

The diverse EP also includes the off-the-wall ‘Jazz Bwats’ using a climbing double bass groove to create five and half minutes of jazz-infused energy whilst Finger Barre shows off Andy’s wide range of styles with rumbling subs and complex percussion.

ACUÑA PREMIERE: One Dead Disco Dancer - Amberjack [Sofa Club Records]

Horatio Luna is a musician intrinsically interwoven into the fabric of Melbourne’s (and indeed Australia’s) jazz scene through his solo work, which followed his role as a founding member of influential hip hop / beats collective 30/70. Now returning to Jitwam’s The Jazz Diaries imprint, after to his 2020 LP “Boom Boom” (Which won support from the likes of Lefto, Bradley Zero, Mr Scruff, Earmilk and OkayPlayer.

Horatio turns in a blazing tribute to one of the Jazz greats, Miles Davis. A cover of the incredible Miles’ original track, Horatio’s ‘Milestones’ is an infectious and groove soaked odyssey, reworking and recontextualising the incendiary work of one of the best to ever do it. Glistening keys, driving basslines, scattered drums and astral textures run throughout this fast and furious track, 10,000 Miles per hour.
