Session Victim - Two Crowns EP [Clips] [Delusions Of Granduer]

Six releases in and Michigander label head Brian Kage teams up with the legendary French Techno producer, Taho, aka David Jacopin. Between the two of them, their production pedigree includes releases for labels like FXHE, Planet-E, Delsin, F.Comm, and more, so it's no surprise the pairing makes for a masterfully produced EP covering the spectrum of Detroit house and techno sounds, with an added deft touch from its French connection.

Brian Kage & Taho - Détroit EP [Clips] [Michigander Music]

Hailing out of Amsterdam, with the reverent name, ‘Detroit Swindle’ (@detroitswindle) coming from a homage for their love of  the Motor City sound. These guys are the brains behind some of the most vibrant, energetic and diverse house sounds to grace the dance floors over the past nine years. With twenty-four previous releases attributed to them including their astonishing album High Life.

Being avid followers of their work for years and after reading up on the pair and getting an understanding of where they’ve come from it is a great pleasure to get a few minutes with the celebrated duo to unearth some home truths and get a feel of the current climate for them both during these testing times.

This has come in the form of chart-topping singles and LPs, the launch and growth of own heavyweight label Pets Recordings, umpteen show-stopping parties and even their own mirco-festival. 

None of the above however, prepared them for the world of lock-down and the restricted reality everyone’s had to rapidly adapt to over the last few months…

This EP is the soundtrack of their journey...
